Alli’s strengths are his late runs and instinctive finishing. Having Kane out and our general lack of chances created has impacted him massively as it renders his strengths meaningless.
He’s still the only midfielder we have capable of scoring consistently.
he's better than lingard but i remember getting into a debate a few years ago where I didn't rate dele as high as others.
When he's not scoring he offers very little. Very limited versatility on a football pitch.
Kane's all round game makes Dele look a better player than he is. Without Kane, he's pretty limited. Doesn't do the basics properly and spends too much time always trying to do something amazing. Talented but flawed. I think he's been found out

Looked like the real Dele stood up not so long ago. I guess it turned out to be his brother in disguise because that's who we have at the moment.
Now that the dust has settled, will the real Dele Alli please stand up.

Bit of a dumbass statement from the "Johnny come latelys' to CL football. Considering we've been in that tournament THREE OR FOUR times as many years as you have. Pretty sure we've been in it and gotten through the group stages more times than you've been in it at all.
So you're in no position to talk about ANY team not being in it when you've spent more time out of it than any of the teams expected to contend for qualification. Especially not when ya spouting about, the team who has been in it more times than any of them. Ya CL NOBODY'S who only made it in the first place (and continued to get there) due to numerous issues affecting Arsenal and Man Utd, OFF the pitch. ALL of the top 6 actually organised and Spurs DO NOT feature in the CL. Ya know, just like the first 10 to 15 years, when teams all had their sh!t together and you came NOWHERE!
To answer the OP,
Lingard. Can do pretty much everything just as good as Ally but to me anyway, comes across as having a far better mentality. Ally seems a bit 'Wilshere' to me. Was great when he just kept his head down and played. But the hype around him swelled his head and he thinks he's already made it to being one of the worlds best. True legend in his own mind.
Lingard being more humble, is likely to work harder anyway but in terms of growing as players, Lingard will continue to get better due to not being up his own ass thinking he doesn't need to. Equally talented players but one has an ego the size of Buckingham palace which will stop him being as good as he could get. In Ally's case, it has already begun to. Actually does him good to have Jose as a manager. Because we know, wherever Jose goes, he makes it clear to his players that JOSE!...Is the both the biggest Diva and the only one whose opinion counts
He might just check Ally's ego and make the kid the best he can be. Hell if HE can't the nobody can.
