Have you spoken to Kiko?

I didn't talk to him but I observed his behaviour and it is totally normal.

Other team news - the same?

Yes

Has the break helped Phillips?

Worse effect. He was three matches out, he played the match with the under-23s, technically he was very good, the attitude he played was excellent. And he had problems in co-ordination, speed, agility in the match against Brentford he had fee opportunities to touch the ball to organise the play, just from the minute from 30 to 45 that he was in the contest the rest no. He had good recoveries and tackles and the player he faced - 14 - he is not offensive like the playmaker he used to face. It is like most of the playmakers of our opponents and he had problems to find the player when he changed direction with the ball. Those two situations, being in contact with the ball for the attack and lack of agility are a link with the situation that he was out for three matches. You can't recover something just playing, even this description he had a positive impact in the match against Brentford for us because he really knows how to recover in defence but he recovered his real level in the last match where he has defended players again who were attackers or playmakers like the no 20 and there he had more impact in defence and was more efficient. To know what is saying is true, normally Kalvin makes the double movement of the centre backs and maximum speed and in the match against Brentford he didn't do the double he did just the half of the centre backs but in the last match he came back to his normal values. That means the fact he didn't play three matches, the situation made him worse and after when he started to play the situation improved him but those conclusions are not my point of view, it is a description of play of Kalvin on the pitch. It's not an opinion, it is a description.

On Klich

Klich is a player who is very, very skilled with discipline. The values of Klich I can not do better, he is a player who runs more, a player who makes more intense movements and a player who makes more movements when maximum fit. His values are linked with how he prepares for a match mentally, this is the fact that makes him run. More angry he runs more.

On Reading

They are a team with very good players, especially in the midfield. They have one creative style of play, they have power in attack.

On Forshaw's recovery

To evaluate the result of the surgery we need the time to make an opinion on this.

On Hernandez's season

There are different ways of measuring the level of one player, you can say how many goals he scored, how many final passes he gave, how many matches he played, in this sense maybe he has not the same level but the impact he has in the team is high. When he plays well the team plays well, and when he is in a good level and fitness level the team plays well as well. He is injured he needs a process to recover and come back in a good fitness level.

Play him [Hernandez] out wide?

I prefer him to play as playmaker than right winger. I think that the demand to play on the right is different to when you play in the middle. And today Pablo he has more impact as playmaker than as a winger. He is a player who makes play for his team mates. He lets them in good condition to have good offensive play. When he plays in the right side this impact is just on the right side. When he plays as playmaker he has impact on all the pitch. Playing in the middle and centre is the same as every part of the pitch because you are close to everywhere on the pitch and in condition to receive any ball because he is close to the ball when it is in front of him or behind him and that is important because what he does best is move the ball.

On people wanting Leeds to be in the Premier and how are team dealing with that?

What I can realise is the wish of the people of Leeds, the desire. I cannot feel that in the rest of the country, i don't know how to feel that. How I manage the situation emotionally, our job has a rule that is common for every situation, we have to win the next match. Every match deserves one phrase that is well known in our job that is we have to win.

On the emotional support for Leeds all over the world. Do you feel that?

I am aware of this from the first day that people from Leeds wish this.

Have you experienced this passion before?

Yes I have experienced this before as well. If there is something that makes me feel this job is very attractive for me it is when I am in contact with the passion of the supporters because there is a situation that makes a difference between the people who work in football and the supporters. The supporters - the only thing for them is that they love their club, the only exchange they receive is emotions. We receive money and other dimensions, a different level, for this reason the supporter is the best thing in football.

That's it!

Twenty three minutes today. Same squad to pick from for Reading.

I don't understand his comments about Phillips. Kalvin has been the difference in our performances against Brentford and Bristol City, yet Bielsa seems to take a swipe at him. I know Kalvin was outspoken before the Forest game about Augustin, saying he should come into the team and give Bamford a break, but I cannot see any benefit to the team, or to Kalvin, in making comments like that.

He’s not taking a swipe in him.

He’s explaining that players benefit from playing, not rest, and going on to explain his reasoning. He’s not criticising Phillips. He’s just saying it takes time to get up to full speed.

The question was ‘has the break helped Phillips’ he answered it. I appreciate that he actually gives explanations instead of just saying no
