Would not trust Jose with a rebuild.

I wouldn’t trust Levy with one either

Why’s that?

We will continue collecting wingers/ attackers who aren’t strikers. Preferably they’ll be quite inconsistent so that we can’t really sell them as they show glimpses of brilliance once every 5 games so that the hope remains they’ll come good. I said 17 on a previous post - that was hyperbolic.
I’d say we’ll add 2 more.

I think you sort of have to forget pre new stadium now though and look at what happened in the 2 windows since.

£150m plus spent shows levy is willing to spend now imo

there was a long time where levy was arguably the best chairman in the country, took us from mid table mediocrity to being a really respectable champions league team

but he seemed to fail to adapt to being in charge of the top level side he created, as opposed to the plucky midtable team he started off with.

If that changes and he starts spending in the way a team with our aspirations needs to then my faith in him will return

You could also argue that bringing a manager of the calibre of Mourinho and knowing how he likes to spend is also a sign that he is willing to change his ways. I mean although I think Jose is past his best I was still surprised we managed to get him.

He deserves credit for helping us become a big team. At the same time we haven't progressed enough in the last 10 years since establishing ourselves as a top 4 team and a lot of Levy's failings have prevented us from missing out on silverware in that time and getting even more CL football, IMO.

Arsenal and Wenger were becoming washed up after the mid-00's and were there for the taking and we allowed them to finish above us more than they should have done.

Yup he really failed to adapt in the last decade as football got a lot smarter, clubs like city, Leicester wolves and liverpool being good examples of how well ran some operations are now

Levy definitely took his eye of the ball the last 18 months while the stadium was being built and assuming poch would continue to be magic.

We have to remember we’ve been trying to build the stadium for a decade buying up land, buying off businesses ( fighting court cases ) all while trying to stay within our exceptionally small financial limits.

I’ve been really annoyed with levy/ENIC borderline wanting them out but I stepped back and look how the club has actually progressed into this beast of a business.

Now is a huge moment that they now need to move us into a beast of a club and while it’s obviously going horrific atm the signs over the last two windows imo show the wallet is open.

If things don’t change levy knows he’s out of excuses and fans will start to show this in the stadium.

I sound like a levy apologist now so I better stop

Don't understand the clamour for Aarons. He's tiny and can't defend. No end product this season either

I'm not sold, don't see what makes him better than KWP for example, but we've been pretty heavily linked

If we get a RB it will almost definitely be him

Had we got another striker in in January I would have been pretty happy with that as a window. Or if we had got one the previous window when we should have as Jan is always difficult to land a striker. The windows HAVE to start improving from now on if Levy wants to try redeeming himself. No point spending decent money on one player but being so negligent in another area that we're left with no back up striker.

If we get Arrons it’ll be a club signing and not a mourinho one imo

why would any top level footballer want to come to spurs now?

The club will not be in the champions league for at least several seasons

The football is awful

The manager wont be there long

The chairman wont pay top wages

The chairman has zero ambition for anything other than making money.

We will be back to signing mid ranking players. Max Aarons probably about our level come next season

Its over for spurs in the top four for a long long time.

Rice would cost a fortune, and lets face it is a bit of a nothing player. Massively overated, doesn’t excel at anything.
