If we win our next two games and then go on to beat Fulham - I’ll be calling it. That’ll take us 8 clear of them
As a minimum

-----------

mate, get first Leeds on the phone and order that open top bus

Poor refereeing didn't help but we just weren't fluent, dominant selves

---------

Actually I thought the ref was ok?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Which game were you watching?

He was awful, with calls and non-calls for both teams being way off quite often.

- yeah, most of the lads at work said same, I must of been watching a different game

Depends what your view on what’s good and bad for a ref.

From a ref like Jonny’s perspective he let loads go and got quite a few wrong.

From a fans perspective, He let the game flow and seemed even-handed with his calls.

Prefer that to a whistle happy homer!

Re pens... thought there were 2 shouts for pens for us, one for them. None of them cast iron at first view.

yeah big milks, that's how I see it to be fair.. thought the game as flowing well. hate those refs that pull up literally everything..

If a ref misses to stonewall penalties, he ain’t had a good game

Were they stonewall though? - first thought last night I'd of agreed.. but in the light of day.. I'm not so sure.. I do think they could of easily been pens though to be fair. wonder what VAR would of made of it?

The camera angles were poor for our two shouts but looking at the way Harrison went down I think he must have been clipped.

Their shout was a decent one but it looked ball to hand and inconclusive imo. I’ve seen them given though.

So really both teams had decent shouts so it evens out I guess.

As for BaMumford - yes he missed that header and yes his confidence looks shot at the moment. However the one where Ayling passed to him was unlucky. The defender got a good touch and it would have been an own goal if it hadn’t hit Bamford. Sums up his luck at the moment. He still has a big role to play though.

Stoops agree with that.

that one where Alying passed to him looked worse at first glace.. he was unlucky but I do think a confident, and more clinical striker scores that??

The header though .. school boy stuff that.

“it was telling that he wasn't in first bunch of players to congratulate Klich“

Watch it again. When a Klich scored he was the first to try and catch him and celebrated immediately. You’re looking for things that aren’t there.

In the ground, real time live they both looked like penalties - shove on Costa, Harrison getting clipped.

Watching them in the extended highlights this morning - even more so. Incredible they both were not given!

Not sure about that. If you’re a yard from goal and a defender knocks the ball onto you there’s not a lot you can do but hope it deflects towards goal. Unlucky he was there to be honest but had he not made that run I guess Ayling wouldn’t have gone across goal.

He looks totally peed off at the minute but that can change with a goal or two.

fair play JLA … would be interesting to see if VAR would have overturned it.

yeah I know Stoops.. which is why said he was unlucky really.. but on form and confidant these things seem to fall to you more, that's what I meant

Stoops.. I just wish he'd score a proper worldy - I think that would really help him (and us)…

like a Yeboah type goal

Like that one in training?

Yeah that would help.

Looked at that header again and to be fair from that angle and at six yards out he did ok. Headed it down, hit the target but an easy save. Maybe he should have gone far corner.

The worst miss of the night was Costa though. He should have scored that and a little dink would have done it. Criminal to miss the target from there.

posted on 27/2/20

Agree about Costa Stoops.. but not having that about Bamford's header, sorry mate - he should of made the keeper work a lot more.

noticed that about his heading, doesn't seem to attack the ball, like a striker full of confidence.. (of course we know he's not)

posted on 27/2/20

I think he thought he was offside, he looked well off and 2 Boro players had actually stopped to appeal. Shocking effort non the less. As for the penalties, Harrison definitely should have got the second one, Costa's was soft but still a shove none the less, think VAR woulda given them.

yeah, think so too.. but like you say, was a shocking attempt

....on another thread...Beradi coming back in...I just saw this stat. Surprised me a bit.

Gaetano Berardi has the highest points per game average (2.4) of any Leeds player this season (+5 matches). He also has the highest clean sheets percentage (62.5%) of any Leeds player (+5 matches). His only league defeat this season came when he was wrongly dismissed v Millwall.”

Berardi has always been a favourite of mine so I feel quite annoyed that the club aren’t renewing his contract. I think he deserves one more than Hernandez, who I think is feeling his age now. Even just a one year contract would do to see how he performs if we are in the Prem. I know he will always give 100% and some fans get annoyed when he gets red carded for being over enthusiastic, but he has fitted in well at Leeds and I would be really sorry to see him go.

I heard his old man had a fling with Kirkstall Kate after 10 pints in the Cardy. Bera is Leeds through and through.
