Ifuno.

Few weeks back Stevie was flying high beating Celtic and lenny was called out by bhoys,, so I would give him.another season.

I try not to be fickle fitba fan.

Not saying you are mate.

Fair comment TBAB. I feel the same about Lenny but get branded a Celtic Da for that πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

I remember eighties easy wins and admin and div 3 games and now we are. Beating Celtic deservedly, albeit 7 weeks ago, so Stevie has boosted Rangers chances if being good.

The Morelos thing has compounded matters.

Fact is, he probably now needs to beat Leverkusen and Celtic in a few weeks to convince anyone who deserves to stay for next season.

2020 has been excellent for us so far, couldn’t see a collapse of this magnitude coming but long may it continue.

Dreadful manager hope he staysπŸ‘

Yet has got them in the next round of Europa yet the mighty Celtic couldn’t make it
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Coming from a team forged by billions upon billions who just got embarrassed in their own back yard I would t go crowing about other teams in Europe you utter fwcking dope.

Honest to Christ. Some of the thick lizards who crawl onto our boards now and again without two brain cells to run against each other.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Haha.

Easy tiger.

Chelsea are rebuilding, I grant you, but we are still top 4 and Bayern could win CL.

And Celtic were also knocked out by a lesser team.

I know English fans cannot comment on Scottish teams
But that is just silly stuff.

If he wasn't who he was he'd be gone already.

Surviving on his reputation only.

The only thing he should be thinking about is whether he drives or gets the train back to Liverpool as if he's still stealing a wage from the club this time tomorrow then the board are well and truly not fit for purpose.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Its pointless beating them if his team then repeatedly fails to beat the likes of Hearts, Aberdeen and Kilmarnock.

Gerrard needs to come up with a very effective plan B - and quickly.

And if he is given another season then the recruitment needs to be a whole lot better than it was this season.

Far too much pointless dross like Stewart, Ojo, Jones, Barker, Hastie etc.

And he needs to look at someone like Greg Docherty who is scoring goals, putting on assists and playing very well for Hibs yet he was deemed not good enough for us.

I am not saying Docherty is the answer but he has been marginalised because of the type of player he is - one that is technically limited despite being a grafter.

Unfortunately the answer domestically might be players with similar attributes to Docherty. Nice tippy tappy players can be of limited use in games that teams want to just battle.

We need a few players that are willing to work their socks off, get in the oppositions faces and do the dirty work and earn ugly 1-0 wins.

The Scottish Prem is not a high quality league but it can be a tough one. And we are far too soft at times.

I agree completely. We're too 'nice' in midfield and that's why we struggle against the likes of Hearts, Killie, St Johnstone etc.

Docherty, and to a lesser extent, McCrorie, have qualities which make them better suited to those types of games than what we currently have, and it is baffling that both of them were allowed out on loan.

Not saying they're brilliant players, but they'd be useful to have around the squad for games that will be a dogfight.

I'd also rather have Murphy as an option off the bench than Ojo, Barker, Jones or Stewart.

Ojo, Barker, Hastie and Stewart have basically cost you next to nothing in transfer fees but neither are good enough for Rangers.

1 will be away in the summer but it may be loan deals for the other 3.

What's the agreed fee for Hagi? €5 million or something? Given you spent more on Kent, seems a no brainer.

Although, i guess the arguments about the rough and tumble of the SP would apply to him too, he's been anonymous the last 2 SP games i've watched.

Killie took it in turns to nail Hagi in the first 15 minutes last time out.

Dicker did it twice through the back before being booked. Power then took up the mantle in halfing him.

Unfortunately for us that's the way it is in Scottish football.

To combat it you can either be far superior technically and hope the referee gives you adequate protection (which simply doesn't happen) or you can go down to their level and fight fire with fire.

I would plump for the latter tbh. We need to stand up for ourselves more and take the fight to them because you simply cant rely on refs in Scotland for protection.

So if its going to be about a battle then lets get a couple of guys in willing to mix it and stand up for ourselves.

Happened to us with Frimpong and Edouard after the winter break.

You need some players to stand up to it and for your technical players to still stand and be counted, ours do.

I'm not falling for their nonsense mate.
Whenever things go against them, this is the standard line. We need a Terry Hurlock...all that garbage.

They're trying to create the impression that they are a tippy tappy nice football team who are getting bullied in Scotland. Yet we hear regularly that Alfredo is able to bully whole defences on his own.

They just need better players than they have..especially in midfield. Jack and Kamara, for example, didn't really stand out much for Aberdeen and Dundee. Just standard SPFL journeymen.

It's a lack of quality that's the issue. Nothing else.

Never really got that argument either.

Apart from Brown, we don’t have anyone like that in our team?!

We just have players that know they need to get on with it.

Yup. Not an overly physical type. If anything Broony is more of a needler than a hard case.

Of course, we do have Ryan Christie. He's a big mentalist.

Forrest is a wee schitebag in our team. Very seldom goes anywhere near a 50/50, and can go missing at times in a difficult game. But, a bit of credit where it's due - he knew he was getting a dunt yesterday going for that ball that led to the free kick for our goal.

I don't think it's anything to do with having a couple of cloggers in your team - it's just being prepared to stand up to it and play your way.

It's maybe just an excuse for not having the mental capability of dealing with it, or just not being very good overall.

You could see it coming, so fair play to him for letting it happening.

He doesn’t have the heart normally for those types of challenges, and does go missing too often, but he still gets undervalued as to his worth to our team at times.

Yet we have the quality to get to the last 16 of the Europa league.

And in fact be the first team ever to make it there from our entry point.

And you can’t claim we have done well in Europe because it’s pressure free. The pressure on the players to make it to the groups was enormous.

I have seen enough of Rangers this season to know the games they don’t handle are the domestic games when the opposition just make it a horrible battle.

We don’t have one real physical player in the team.

And I am not talking about a clogger. I agree it’s partly mentality. But it is also about pure physical aggression. We desperately lack it at times.
