I think we can forget ely staying.
hamed isn't reliable, he's good but we will always need 3 right backs with him here.

BTW, just had a quick swatch at Elhamed's club career appearances stats ... only averages 23 games a season (all comps) over the previous 8 seasons. He's managed 13 games for us so far in all comps. That looks the very definition of "injury-prone" to me.

There's a difference between being injured or not being picked. The whole season he was at Gent he never got in their squad! Looked back all his years and if TM is correct he never had an injury until 4 years ago. Never picked a lot. The occasional disciplinary suspension but no word of an injury.
Headline grab Calum McGregor's stats and he only averages 28 games a season.

OK, maybe it's more accurate to say that Elhamed isn't used to playing a lot of club football ... ANY season. Just on the last 3 full seasons ... 30 games a season on average (all comps). Only 13 so far this season for us.
Not sure where you get those CalMac figures from ... he's averaged 53 games a season for Celtic alone in the last 3 full seasons, and a mental 48 so far this season.
I'd be delighted if Elhamed comes back and plays a regular part for us, as he was phenomenal pre-injury. Not convinced that's happening though. I'd settle for his more recent average of 30 though, with Frimpong playing the rest.

Yes, not selected does not mean injured ... BUT Elhamed's career record of club appearances doesn't suggest a guy who's capable of sustaining 2 games a week over an extended period. All I'm saying. He'll be 29 in a couple of weeks, by which time he'll have made a grand total of 175 league appearances in a 10 year career. Nir Bitton is slightly younger, and has made 256 career league appearances ... and he barely tackles. Just saying ...
