What a fackin pitiful excuse for a football club you are...

Sell Kane when he's fit...sell your stadium and go play in the Isthmian league
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Think it's the fact that only 3 years ago, for the first time in a generation, the club had a great side, England's best striker, a cool urbane Manager and the prospect of a super shiny stadium, but they ultimately won nothing.

Easy to laugh and gloat but all of us that love our football club would be in pain having our dreams built so high only to fail again.

Foorball is a cruel kant
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I've been a Chelsea fan since 1970....I've had pain in fackin spades
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Missing the point mate. During the 70s and 80s Chelsea didnt threaten to be a big success, unlike Spurs now, so you didnt expect too much.

Spurs have looked to be building into a super power so to mess up like they have would test the resolve of most fans.

Anyway, my club aint exactly provided me with too much happiness recently so i can't gloat too much even if i wanted to.

Worst I’ve known it since the 80’s. Levy must walk.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Levy wont walk. Why would he? His job isn't results on the pitch. He's judged by what happens off the pitch and he's delivered for years.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So how is he going to explain to the board ( and the actual owner of the club ) how his miss management has cost the club £100m of CL income next season ?

Pretty easily. He'll point at failings on the pitch and with the coach. Levy is absolutely untouchable from a board level.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Thing is, if he got in a Director of Football he could protect himself even more by further isolating himself from the playing side of things. Anything goes wrong with player or coaching recruitment? Bosh, blame the DoF. Levy can just sit on his bonus every year, and in theory the team stands to benefit too.

Fans are half the problem.

Where the expectancy comes from for a club that's won 1 trophy in 20 years is embarrassing.

We're not top 4 standard

Not even top 6 without Kane and Son

We're a 8th-11th levels

Nah don't buy that reasoning. Regardless of what Spurs have spent you had an excellent young hungry side with a perfectly suited Manager (remember your previous wideboys Venables, Sherwood, Arry etc).

You were on the brink of something really special and for a time were alongside City as the best team in the country (scousers were behind you). You didn't take advantage of the freak Leicester season, Levy didn't invest when you needed to strengthen and slowly but surely players declined, became less hungry (Dele FFS), and others like Walker decided that they would have a better chance elsewhere.

Think with the players and infrastructure you boys had you can't blame any fans for being fecked off with how's it gone. Like us, the stadium cost has eaten into your finances but I do think that it was a very short-term view by Levy not to have invested in the team when you were on top as the possible loss of CL revenue could out weigh what you'd have spent on new players anyway.

Totally get what you mean, and that would drive me insane if I was a Spurs fan. I brought up this up after Leicester won the title, as much of a great once in a lifetime story that was for the neutral (and Leicester fans obviously), I argued Spurs fans deserved the title more because of precisely what you said.

It's one thing to be frustrated by your club's results/standing when they pose no realistic threat & have no clear avenue to get better for circumstances out of their control. It's a completely different level of frustration being so close to the spotlight but never making that final step to be in it when your club has the resources but lack the bottle or guile, that's 10x worse. It's the hope that kills you.
