Agree completely.

Let’s see how we navigate through the City, Sheffield and Spurs games before we get all premature. Top 4 is the main task at hand and we have a good shot at achieving it if we get through the next few PL fixtures fine.

Next 2 league games will tell us a lot.

If we are still within striking distance of the top 4 after the Spurs game I think we'll make it. 7 of the last 8 are very winnable on paper. I know it hasn't always played out that way this season but I'm seeing signs of us becoming a bit better at breaking these teams down recently. The return of Pogba for that run of games could help as well.

The cups are a bonus - but there are still some very good teams left in both.

A friend just sent that dude, goldbridge guys video.. geez, I tell ya, how people can put up with the constant wham this guy talks.
So, at the beginning of the season it was, we have to give Ole about 3 seasons. After 14 months we have to get rid now. And today, Ole is getting greedy being in all these tournaments. Needs to sacrifice, cos we don’t have the squad to pursue in all fronts.
I stopped watching when he said that.
We had a facking bench comprising of David May and Greening in the C.L Final in ‘99 dammit!

This BS rhetoric disguised as Pragmatism. ‘It’s good to get knocked out so we can concentrate on the league, yada yada’.. let the Arsenal fans use that Spin.
I, as a UTD fan never will.
We ride or die, I wouldn’t want it any other way. When players see the position they are in, at the business end of the season, they will step it up. They can taste the glory.
Why the hell should we have to ‘Sacrifice’ at this stage of the season.
So what if we get C.L football by finishing 4th/5th.
So what?
You really gonna be that happy going out of the cup tourneys saying that was worth it, just so we can hear that damn Music again next season!?
We have a chance to write history again. Ole, go for it.
That’s the UTD way...

I think we're at a crossroads at the moment and it could go either way.

It does seem we are on an upward curve at the moment though and that some luck is also starting to come into play (opposition disallowed goals etc) and long may it continue.

I think we may well beat City on Sunday as I've a feeling we'll be more fired up for it than them as we have more to play for in the league. The Sheff Utd fixture has been postponed because of the FA Cup as well so we'll be playing them towards the end of the season which may well be a good thing.

I also want it all as well. It'll take some sensible squad management but I think we have it in our locker especially when you consider some players won't have as many games in their legs as others. Getting McT and Pogba back for midfield could be massive for the final stretch.

Yeah, things are looking a bit better. Gotta give Ed some credit as he did what our rivals stupidly didn’t do and go out and bring in a couple of players. They could be our cheat code for fourth place.

As Diafol widely said, it’s a crossroads moment right now

I think it's just another part of the rollercoaster season we were always bound to have.

I'm not sure I'm anymore positive now than I was negative when things looked bleaked.

Shame he didn't get Fernandes in the summer, I think we'd be a shoe in for CL by now, but yes, it has given us a huge boost.

Superb article. I look forward to games now and some of the passion I "lost" is back.

Rome was not built in a day and it took time for the great managers to become great. Very pleased with Ole

Don’t agree that top four is the “main task at hand” at all.

Ole has to juggle the squad to try to give us the best chance of wining every game we play; but I’d rather win the FA Cup or Europey and finish fifth than finish fourth and win nothing, without a second’s hesitation.

Knee jerk reactions like this help no one.

we woouldnt be a shoe in for anything, weve been awful at for pretty much most of the season.

bruno isn't gonna change that on his own.

the next 3 games will give some people a much needed reality check.

Yawn, this period of good form doesn’t change much in terms of perceptions of the manager. You’re the one turning it into something boring and off topic. No one else was doing anything. Look in the mirror, you’re a mess.

I dunno.

Was thinking about this the other day - probably the best moment post-Fergie for me was that night in Paris (a year to the day as it happens - time fecking flies!) The joy I felt after that game comfortably eclipsed any of the 3 cups we won.

Each to their own and all, but the CL is where it's at for me. I'd take top 4 over the FA cup.

I’d usually agree but I think right now CL qualification is more important than any trophy, by whatever means. It gives us a better base to work from next season due to the impact Europa can have on league form as well as the transfer market.

CL qualification could be the difference between us or Chelsea really kicking on next season.

This, and from Robb.

Of course it wont change your perception of the manager.

You won't let it. That's the mess.
