Wellies, spot on as usual.
We have consistently struggled against anti football teams even this season and Forest are on a good run against us using this philosophy.
We have Forest in a few weeks who are imploding so it doesn’t matter what kind of football they play anymore, they’re gonna get stuffed.

Great read 2W and so true. You have carefully stepped the path of absolute truth without being overtly disparaging of the Dark Side of the 52.

Perhaps this anti- football is the way to get ahead - and that's a pity but unfortunately we see it happen time and time again.

I would welcome the input of Florest posters to rebut these arguments but alas, there is none so blind as those that cannot see.........in West Bridgford

Just wondering what a Forest Millwall game might be like. Both teams sat in their own half with one player up front waiting for the ball. We were sucker punched by Millwall earlier in the season but then we were trying to get players in to their penalty area. Being sucker punched three times by a team when you aren't, takes some effort. The Forest defenders obviously couldn't handle the silky skills of Smith.

Just have to look at last night's possession stats, 68:32 in favour of Forest.
Oh, the irony.

It’s interesting that Forest’s most impressive home win was against Leeds who are a far better technical team and who like to dominate home and away. Leeds were awful that night and played completely into Forest’s hands by trying to play their pretty stuff but making basic errors of passing which allowed Forest to break quickly.

Maybe at a higher level this can work because you will be playing against better teams every single week. But those better teams don’t tend to run out of ideas when faced with rows of defenders lined up against them. Usually they will find a way to score and then the plan goes out of the window. And then it’s depressing old season. Most fans prefer a have a go approach. You might get picked off by quality opposition and get a few hammerings but at least you get entertained. Norwich’s style might be naive but surely is preferable to trying to sit back and hold on and ending up being beaten anyway.

Exactly, Vidal. Norwich have had a good season and whatever the outcome, their fans are going to remember it for the right reasons.

Id rather lose 2 or 3 nil by attacking a good side all game and having a go, than losing 1-0 or drawing 0-0. Would be like a boxer hiding in the corner all fight. No thanks.

Agreed Shaun, I am certain Sheffield Wednesday fans felt a bit cheated by Monk's damage limitation strategy against Man City. It's a cup game for gods sake, 1 0 and 20 0 is the same result. We had a go against Man U and paid the price but at least we had a few chances to win and there were a few things to cheer along the way.

The big question at the Schitty Ground. Are the wheels coming off?

Anyway, wasn't it Rev (or maybe Strett) who said 65 - 35 possession was a moral victory?

Be interesting to see if Ipswich fans try to goad their rivals next season, should Norwich come down, despite the fact that they have been floundering in the 3rd tier
No, surely theyre too intelligent for that ?
