What a player, what a team. missed the game today but all is going according to plan. back on top and according to most of our fans on here we played well. when phillips comes back in i just can't see us losing.
pick us to finish first this year but am definitely not counting my chickens just yet.
enjoying this one game at a time and loving our competition stumbling.

Yeah he caught that just right - but his technique was perfect! I love the way the ball cannons in off the bar and bounces out again - such power! That must have given him such a rush to hit that so sweetly - one of the best goals we've scored this season!

Great player even when he isn't!

How did Meslier do yesterday? Is he still catching crosses - does he command the penalty area?

Opposite to the first game. Kicking was very good yesterday .

Only had 2 saves to make.
First one shot was straight at him and he ended up actually sitting on the ball. He closed his legs just in time as he was going down and was just sat on it !!! . Would have been great if he lit a cigar

Unfortunately in the second half he let a a shot straight at him rebound into the 6 yard box. Thankfully our defender was there to clear because it was poor handling and would have cost us a goal had town been following up.

Crosses he was good.

Lad is doing ok but he’s had 2 easy games so far

Been very critical of Bera in the past and when he was misplacing passes and getting booked (in the first half) I was all for Bielsa pulling him off.
But this piece of defending typified a much improved second half display from the guy. Well done Gaetano.

In all seriousness I honestly think this shows a lot about the difference between a coach like bielsa and a lesser coach.

Clearly he planned for ayling to be able to do based on his meticulous approach to things.

Also it's really easy to overlook different aspects of the goal because his finish was so great but look at the distance he covers to get on the end of it and how the run is perfectly timed to be smack bang on the end of it.

You couldnt train better than bielsa clearly has the team training.

I also love the reaction from everyone on the training pitch when he does it as well as well as him and Phillips during his post match interview.

You hear all the time about split changing rooms and players not getting along but it really dosent seem like a problem for the club under bielsa.
