Best game at OT in years, feels like fans, players and management are all behind the club again.

10 games unbeaten, brilliant.

He was always the man for the job. He's the same guy now as at the start of the season.
The difference is he's got half a dozen playing better and Bruno.

The Process and now RDD starting to convert.... I am still unsure he can get us to the very top, but hard to deny the impact he's having trying to build a proper UTD squad.

his signings by and large have worked.

Maguire - we overpaid, but that snot his choice, he's really looked like a leader at the back last 10-12 games
AWB- brilliant in defense and even notched a couple of assists recently and starting to get forward better
James - probably the biggest question mark, started really well which maybe raised expectations too far but he's still a kid
Bruno - awesome
Ighalo - Ole couldn't get who he wanted to so he went for someone who wanted to be here, key difference to previous signings

he's also behind Fred's improvement and McT continued development, as well as bringing Greenwood and Williams through

if he has another summer of good purchases then he may be able to lead a real push

I doubt uww will convert.
He thinks Ole is garbage, clueless and the worst manager in the league.
It's a big step up from that to say he's good.

In fairness I have always supported Ole was just not fully convinced.

The Burnley game was such a low moment. We went down that night with a whimper and manager and players looked clueless. Also looked at that time that we weren’t get Bruno or anyone in January.

I’ve never slated Ole like UWW or scholay and admit it was a bit knee jerk.

The Process, the Burnley game was just everything going against us type game. Deserved to win that but they got 2 goals out of nothing, while we kept fluffing our lines all game.

I think saying he was always the man is formed from romanticism.

For a solid 6 month period he looked doomed and out of his depth. That’s why I’m not going to say he’s the man for the job yet.

But things are on the upturn.

City were insipid, really good time to play us I think but take nothing away from Utd they really wanted it more and defended as a team, even Martial was trying

I think City are more or less just focused on the CL. The City performance wasn't the best but they'd still beat most sides when playing like that. We just wanted it more today IMO.

Now only UWW, Scholesy and Robb left to turn

Man Utd won 12 premierleague games and 5 of those have come against teams above us.

So what’s the issue with teams below
Is it lack of craft to break teams down as the teams above you will generally allow Utd to play on the break which really suits them
I thought Fred was your best player today, worked his socks off

PPLF since we beat PSG, we had like near the worst shot to goal ratio in the league and concede from very few shots. Its not that we don't break teams down, its we miss crucial chances to win games and then the opposition either are gifted a goal by de gea or VAR don't do job.

We dominated smaller teams even more, its just we rarely win. People say we don't create enough big chances in those games but we still create enough to win. Thats why we are near Liverpool on shots for and against.

Not sure he was always the man for the job, but let's not get into that. 10 unbeaten, another clean sheet and the double over City

Just to put it into perspective Liverpool have 15 wins and Man Utd 8 at home.

Liverpool had 110 shots more than the opposition.
Man Utd had 115 shots more than the opposition.

Liverpool goal difference at home +28
Man Utd goal difference at home +17

We could get Jose the sack if we beat Spurs next week.

To be honest we really need to make James work on his finishing and decision making. Even Martial could have had 2 gifts if he gambled earlier with Ederson 2nd half and the backpass in 1st half.

posted on 8/3/20

James should have assisted Martial 1st half and Fernandes 2nd half. Could really have been a hammering adding to the penalty we should have had. Both league wins could have been 5 or 6 for us.
