Who Do You Want Rid Of & In What Order?

I would be happy for all 3 of our keepers to p1ss off as they are all untrustworthy.

I had high hopes for Gaz and thought that if he got a run of games he would do well but no. As for Vorm and Hugo they have proved in the last 2 games that at a time when goals are proving hard to come by they can't be relied upon to do the basics right.

I'm not sure I'd want him gone but another one who has had plenty of game time this season and been a big let down is Winks.

Minimum

Sell/release: Vorm, Rose, Verts, Lamela, Dier, Jose
Loan: Foyth, KWP, Parrott, Skipp
Sign: GK, LB, RB, LCB, DM, ST

You should restrict it to 3, as no way are we getting in more than 3 replacements in a single window.

And that’s all I have to say about that.

The season to end

No point selling 11 if you aren't going to bring in more than 4, the squad is already threadbare.

Vertonghen looks like the decline has started and it's been quite the slide so he would be first to go with a lot of credit for his Spurs career but ultimately he's finished.

Aurier because he's a liability, might give you 5 decent games but you know that a mistake is around the corner.

Rose as you need a new first choice left back and shifting him makes sense.

Backup striker needed on top of that. May as well sell Foyth as well because he's pointless.

That would be the bare minimum i would expect but also probably the maximum number of incomings i actually expect to happen.

Agree with that HB

I would actually keep a place for Verts if he is happy to stay, will be good to have him around and ready to jump in in emergencies.

MK is a plastic supporter, only wants to watch a winning team, so I wouldn't take much notice of him.

But Sandy, in all fairness... it's a results business

we are over stacked in central midfield and CB(if you include Dier, Tanganga, Foyth) in terms of quantity, and light at full back and striker.

i would be getting rid of Vorm, Verts, Dier, Sissoko, Lamela (with likes of Skipp, Foyth and Parrott loaned) and bring in a GK, CB, LB, RB, DM and ST straight away

5 out(and loans) and 6 in is extremely reasonable at our dire stage.

in reality though Dier and Sissoko are 2 of Joses favourite players (says it all) and Ndombele will probably hand in a transfer request, Gedson wont wanna stay cause hes not getting game time and Jose will be happy with our defensive options cause of the numbers we have back there, he loves Davies and Aurier too so they will continue to be first choice.

will probably just sight another B2B mid and an old slow striker.

like Sissoko and he was great last season but he's 30 years old and very bad at football.

Our transfer strategy isn't going to change. Our only hope is that through several cycles we end up with a collection of players who are capable of challenging again...

Then we probably would need another two quality signings to actually take us over the line but we won't and everything is repeated.

On a serious note, I don't see us buying established players who come in with immediate impact. I think we will always buy those who have re-sale value and hope their peaks align so we take advantage.

Getting 6 players in, of the level required in one window.

What kind of budget would you set aside for that?

Sometimes I feel like getting rid of the whole squad, but that is not realistic.

A lot of our younger players are not really showing much sign of really breaking through, so they would either have to go out on loan or be shifted.

KWP
Foyth
Skipp

Then you have the sicknotes

Lamela
Ndombele
Davies

would move all three on, obviously Kane and Son are fast catching up as sicknote players. Both seem to be missing up to three months every season, but both are absolutely crucial to going forward, so no way would they be moved on.

Then you have the players that have seen better days

Vorm
Verts
Rose
Toby

Probably keep Toby, although I thought Verts played OK at the weekend, and may be OK as a squad player.

As for the rest it is pretty much keep, thee are only so many players that can be shifted, and wholesale ins and outs have hardly been a great success in the past.

I get a lot don`t rate either Aurier or Sanchez, but both will still be at the club next season 100 per cent.

So all in all about half a dozen players need moving on, and maybe two or three new faces in. One of which absolutely has to be a striker, and another has to be a strong tackling holding midfielder.

According to SC, Jose wants the Lille striker Osimhen.

Like boss said above, it isnt going to happen and with Levy nothing is going to change.

our scouting is awful.

in terms of the striker They would not have to cost a lot at all and could just be a loan, as they are back up. GK would ideally be a young talented keeper scouted from somewhere not costing a lot. DM, CB, LB and RB for about 150-200mill.

when you consider we did nothing one summer and lost about 80million on Eriksens value. its the least we need tbh.

what can we get for selling the players i mentioned ? 40mill maybe?

posted on 9/3/20

I assume (if we can find buyers) that Rose, Foyth, KWP, Vorn, Verts will all be likely to go.

I don't mind the other staying in the squad but I would want upgrades across the whole defense and a backup striker
