not sure Bruno wanted to join us at all, just we were close, think Utd were always his preference.

Gedson is a promising player, of course Fernandes would have been better but not sure we ever really had much of a chance with Levy.

Grealish was never gonna happen, just like Zaha, when we start with ridiculously low bids to begin with. I like Grealish but at the time for a championship player it would have ended up being a whole load of money where we needed to prioritise other areas first.

You make your own luck, spurs just make too many stupid and avoidable mistakes.

Have always had a soft spot for spurs as someone close to me was a spurs fan back in the days of Villa, hazard etc

I said when the new stadium was given the go ahead that it came at the wrong time for spurs. They had a decent team and a decent manager that needed a but of investment to go the next level. The playing at wembley and new stadium didn't help at all imo

Money is an issue for spurs with the over budget spend for the stadium and will be for some time imo.

Not sure it's all Levy's fault

GLC and Bruno are different and i would have liked both if we could have shifted Eriksen for a bit more then we did in January in the summer. But like AWB, he wanted United.

*just to add I'm not saying I'm right as I don't know the day to day stuff as I'm sure spurs fans will.

Just my opinion based on what happened with arsenal too imo

None of this is bad luck, but decisions made by the club.

I think if you look at the list of mistakes over the years, Levy has now go to take the rap.

I see Eriksen is already getting criticism for his performances at Inter. Had another one of his quiet games in a big game against Juventus.

Sounds more like bad decisions than luck to me.

Arsenal comparisons will always be very weak for me. They were stable for a significantly greater period, a manager at the helm for over 20 years and won plenty even on the decline they bagged 2 FA cups on the spin.

The stadium was needed and staying in the old ground for a bit longer wouldnt have guaranteed things still not going like they have done now.

Also, yeah the common denominator is Levy. There's no such thing as Spursy, it's just Levy mismanaging the club and causing us to experience poor moments.

Excellent article. Levy is the root cause of all our current on the pitch problems.

Levy is just a bald, financially hungrier Mike Ashley.

Levy needed a a director of football while the stadium was being built he clearly took his eye of the ball during this period.
