Even if you take that period of form where we have won one in four, extrapolating that means over the remaining nine games we will win just over two games and hence wrap up the title.

Apparently it's Leicester. They have 3 players with the virus.

CANCEL THE SEASON NOW. THINK OF EVERYONE'S HEALTH.

“ City could quite rightly claim that the wheels are indeed falling off.”

They can claim it all they want. They’ve no way of proving they’d make up 25 points in 10 games. Our form over the season is proof it’s unlikely.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You don't own a time machine.

It's perfectly plausible that Liverpool could lose all remaining games.

Neither do City. That’s why they can’t make a case they’d make the points up.

Sure they can.

It's mathematically possible. Therefore, there's a chance.

Suspend the league for two weeks. Test every player and staff member of every club. Those that have it, isolate them. Resume.

Even if the league does end up being suspended, I would be very surprised if it wasn't completed. Whether it is stopped for weeks or even months.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
But then you the problem of when does next season start ? Call it all off until next season. Health and safety comes first.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well if this is still going on then it might not start anyway. Makes more sense to complete this season and if necessary skip next season.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Nah, that won't work. How can you start a season in September to complete 1/3 of the previous season's games?!

It's not all about Liverpool. People are dying.

I suggest scrap this season, and start again next season (using the 18/19 standings for CL).

----------------------------------------------------------------------
How are relegation/promotion decided then? Huge amounts of money involved to just call it off
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not my problem. I guess no relegation/promotion.

As long as Spurs have CL next season and Liverpool don't win the PL, I'm happy
----------------------------------------------------------------------
unlucky, the PL have suggested for all games to be played behind closed doors

The desperation of some you is laughable
----------------------------------------------------------------------

It would be tainted, doesn't seem fair say that United had 70,000 plus supporting them in the first game against Spurs this season, then on Sunday, Spurs will have none supporting them. Home games are supposed to be an advantage to home clubs.

No it clearly just has to stop completely for fairness.

Based on our recent form? (Conveniently using all comps). City’s form in the league has been worse of late

Sure Liverpool would "resume" is half their squad got the virus

What if they get it after the 2 weeks?

UK cases up 130. Up to 590 cases now.

I'm sure we would. We would still fancy our chances of winning two games.

Not that we would need to win two games though really.

I actually kind of agree. Home support can be the 12th man.

Playing in an empty soulless stadium has no advantage.
