Tbh I think in a month or so the last thing anyone will be thinking about will be football. I don’t think it’s quite struck people just how facked we all are. Not even just the virus risks but the fallout domino effect. Widespread looting, crimes happening with no police callout, people not being able to pay bills because of missing work, small businesses going bust, people who rent homes being kicked out... then scarier things like mass graves and mass pyres as well as the PTSD of so many people who lost so much so quickly

Isn’t that Liverpool on a normal day

You would rather have a laugh at another team despite the fact it will potentially set your own team back by the fact it would mean your in the europa next year with spurs and chelsea back in the champs league gaining all the extra revenue that comes with it and the ability to attract a higher calibre of player.
--------
Spurs attracting players?
Also, with City getting banned, Arsenal will be in the CL. So a thumbs up from me

My apologies then. I'm glaswegian. Ive been going to anfield since i was 6 years old. I live in a city where the hatred between 2 clubs is far and away greater than the animosity between our 2 teams. I have no allegiance to either of them btw.

Its just my personal outlook on it. Look im not saying if the roles were reversed i wouldnt have a laugh at yous, of course I would. But bearing in mind that epic failure could have a real negative impact on my own team too id rather just take the slight inconvenience of my rival prospering with my own team prospering also.

Mellor, fair play.

Maybe us English just have a better sense of humour than you Scots.

The short term negative impact on the team isn’t as big as the monumental hilarity of a facking pandemic stopping Liverpool winning the league. The Gerrard slip will go down as one of the greatest moments in football history. This would be up there as well.

It’s out of our control anyway.

More Breaking News tonight!!.....
The RB Leipzig goalkeeper who played Tuesday night against Tottenham has tested positive for the Corona Virus!!

The Spurs players are being advised they don't need to self isolate as they didn't get anywhere near him!!

πŸ‘Yes the gerrard slip still haunts me to this day so I shudder to think how I'll feel if the season does end wiped out. Maybe just hope coronvirus wipes me out too!

Like feck it is!

I’ve been waiting for 30 feckin years. I’m actively seeking a cure.

So far I’ve spent one month drinking nothing other than gin and tonic. Lots of limes. Quite a bit of tuna. $hit loads of Sausages. So fardon’t have the virus so I’m gonna say, 100% this league can be finished.

Gin, tonic, limes. Tuna (no cheese), sausages = #19

City should do the honorable thing and forfeit their next two matches.

Hudson-Odoi has it now as well

Good time to be in the far flung reaches of the world right now, we’ve only had 5 cases total in NZ so far and all are better now and back in society.

Really don’t think there would be any harm in the euros being shifted a year and the premier league suspending games for 30 days or something while everyone gets on top of this.

People here not understanding this is like the most dangerous disease the world has ever seen. No one really cares about football over lives of people. This is something you would see in movies or the simpsons, not real-life. Just hoping someone finds a cure for it otherwise only way to stop it spreading is staying indoors for at least 2 weeks.

Hafi, I doubt anyone on here believes that you have seen daylight these past three years. Calm down, son. There's always Deliveroo, as yer mam always says.

that's all the world should do.

everyone inside for 14 days now.

those who are sick and old will die out, like they probably would of something else anyway this year.

14 days later, problem solved, back to business.

The only way coronavirus becomes seriously dangerous to the world is if it mutates.

Right now it’s a very contagious version of the flu, meaning a lot of elderly or already sick people are dying just as they would have with the flu. The need to contain it is for them, for most of the population it is something they can catch and get over.

No. What would happen in 14 days when everyone is allowed out again?
