She came back with 8 toilet rolls, a pack of bananas and two pineapples.
—-
Sounds like she has plans for you. You lucky dog.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You've got me in a panic noo!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You may get off easy if she goes down the pineapple chunks route
Did they not have applepines
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Disnae bear thinking about mate.
As I've said on here many times, married Stephanie Powers, ended up with Austin Powers.
A lesson to all young men looking in.

So, some large % of us are going to get it. The issue with lack of testing, and symptoms quite possibly being mild is how will you know whether you’ve had it? And, if you haven’t but say 50% have do you carry on isolating or just accept it, get out there and hope it’s mild for you?

That is the crux for me. No point heading to the utter Hebrides for 20 weeks with a car full of Andrex and penne if you’re just gonna get it anyway when you get back?

It would seem it’s going to come in waves so I’m not certain anything I can do can stop a virus
Hand washing etc isn’t new I’ve washed my hands years ago once

----------------------------------------------------------------------
I remember early sexual experiences you didn’t want to wash those hands for days - sniff, sniff !

Said on here before but I recall student days a medic telling me the enzymes in pineapple are bad for your cauk? It was on the back of some c-lister ending up in A&E putting tinned rings round his - probably Clem Ashby - always seemed to be him?

Shares
In particular ISA shares with an allowance of upto £20k
Never done it before but I have my eye on shares I'd like to buy through this.

Anyone done this before, is it easy? Any advice..?

I have a platform in mind but any pointers would be appreciated.

Travelling back from a wonderful day at Cheltenham races. Will be having a fairly relaxing rest of the day with an hour in the gym and then the pool.

Tomorrow being dragged out to garden centre to buy topsoil etc to fill the veg troughs and start planting the early veg seedlings which are starting to fill out the orangery. What joy.

Good time to buy but not for the feint hearted. I dare not look but could be approaching 7 figures down overall? Just have to hang in there. Read as much as you can then read some more. Don’t buy financial advice. Only you care about your money. You can lose the lot. I have very occasionally. Probably best not to listen to me either.

Buy money ISA’s. You can move them around once the market settles.

The markets are about as volatile as they have ever been in their history with a significant downward trend. If you’ve got anything already in shares you’re as well trying to ride it out unless you’re in travel or leisure markets. Oil is even a mess with the trade war between the ME and Russia.

If I was to invest in anything it would be U.K. or US pharmaceuticals. One of them will get this right sooner rather than later.

Buy just now if you can. It’s a longer term investment, and you’ll be going in with the FTSE over 2,000 points lower than it was about a month ago.

Hargreaves landsdown probably best suited to execution only investments. Passive funds will keep your costs down as well. Take a look at a multi asset, multi manager fund-gives you greater diversification. Shares in one company are the highest risk.

If you’re worried about the volatility, do it on a monthly basis and take the possible advantage of pound/cost averaging.

Thanks POV

The shares I'm buying will only go up in the medium to long term.

I don’t advise on single company shares Zico-too high for me.
