It's not a case of raising awareness of coronavirus. It's the awareness of exactly how people can help by donating. I'm sure a lot of people were actually unaware. It's why the tweet looks like its been endorsed by UNICEF itself.

I never said I’m upset that he donated money. It’s the fact he’s using it for publicity that bothers me. He doesn’t have to advertise or make a big deal to the public out of it, but he does because he wants the publicity.
That’s my opinion. As I’ve said feel free to see his motives as purely charitable if you like. I don’t however.
I hate it when rich celebs ask common people to donate. You're the ones with the money, you donate. And make sure it's relative to your wealth.

Nothing wrong with getting common folk to donate. Pogba can donate a million pounds but if he gets 100 million people to donate 5 pound to the cause, it will be a lot more than he can donate on his own.
