Given we canned the fixtures soon as they did and the call for following the UK government lead then would say yes

The fact its been so long for liverpool probably works in Celtics favour

Well that's nice as long as the important things are sorted and you win the league

f... that i'll take it.

13 points clear, not 1 and there is absolutely no way rangers were going on an unbeaten run with 8 games to go, counting on celtic losing 3 of those.

no dont want it that way either, been blethering on another thread about how may able to make sure season played out but as I said above it just might get called.
Honestly ones I feel worse for is DU they spent a fortune in their terms. If they dont get promoted can they keep that squad even if they want to?
We will win next season this was also a push the boat year for Rangers if it comes to a null and void will no way be same money from domestic or UEFA will hit them hard also

They can argue all they like but if the government says we won then we won.

That's a bit uncalled for. This is after all a football forum. If things like football don't even bat an eyelid to you at times like this then we an all fully understand. However, someone wanting to talk about something other than Coronavirus shouldn't be accused of not caring about other important things

Agreed, we all know that what's going on is much bigger than football, but I won't pretend I don't care what happens with Scottish football going forward.

However, to the question in case. I think a decision will be made to crown Celtic champions, same as Liverpool. I think there is little evidence to suggest that won't happy anyway. Other nations are far far tighter.

In England no one is capable of stopping Liverpool. In Scotland the second placed team (the only team mathematically capable of catching Celtic) have played Celtic 3 times and won once and recent form suggests it wouldn't happen.

It is further down the divisions that the real decisions need to be made. Hearts, Dundee Utd, play offs. Even the smaller amount of money that relegation can cause the likes of Brechin City should not go unnoticed.

rangers play Celtic twice and have a game in hand so potentially only 4 points

no way they are calling it for Celtic!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
More likely Celtic will be further ahead after those games and then you have your 15 point deduction for admin.
Game over.
Suck it up staunchies.

despite rangers current run of form you expect they will win every game from now till the end of the season and celtic will uncharacteristically drop points in 3 more matches?

Yip similar to what I posted probably at the same time

A few clubs could realistically be looking at admin including Celtic. If its likely no football to the summer then that will hit all clubs pretty hard more so rangers and Celtic with the running costs of those clubs compared to others.

This for me is an opportunity to restructure the league. 16 teams. No relegation. Promote the 3 teams that lost play offs last year.

And yes rangers were going to win every game and Celtic would have lost 2 more.

For all the null and void advocates.
Why not make the last 8 years null and void, Celtic are on 0 in a row, rat boy was never our managed and sevco fc are in administration

I agree (apart from your last line)

Dundee Utd plus the play off teams up. Then combine the rest of the Championship with Div 1.(possibly with Stranraer being relegated and Cove going up as they are both clearly going to anyway) That gives top tier of 16, second tier of 16 and a bottom tier of 12 if you promote both play off teams from each appropriate division below. No relegation for Brechin

I agree Liverpool have not won the EPL yet but it is possible that they could be beaten, admittedly less likely than Celtic being caught but both are unlikely

Be really silly to award a league with games still to be played.

As silly as saying , if games ended after 86 minutes then they would have won the league.

Full games count - full leagues too...

spr ... Your 16 team top flight idea ... How is that working in terms of number of games? Playing each other twice only gives 30 games, which would be a non-starter financially. TV companies would want more than two OFs as well.

Have always favoured a 14 team top flight myself, play each other twice, then split into top 6/bottom 8 and play everybody in your "half" home & away again. Means 36 league games for the top 6 teams, 40 league games for the bottom 8 teams. Preserves 4 OFs, and the "new" split avoids the current possibility of having to play one or more teams away 3 times a season ... which is the only real flaw of the current split.
