ordered my repeat prescription online this morning Sandy, all went through not a problem, over exaggerating again but certainly getting some mileage out of it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Not exagerating at all mate. All of my local shops are bare of food already, and this is like only the first few days.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Normal people need to go to the shops later in the day when all the selfish crazies have been in already and the shelves have been restacked.

I went shopping after 3 on Saturday having heard all the stories and went about my shopping as normal with the normal people, after they had restacked the shelves.

There is a push over here to adopt the Aus model of having 1 hour each day allocated to senior citizen shopping only.

Oh sandy give it a rest. For 99% of us, this is just another cold-type virus.

We'll likely catch it, feel crap for a small window and then recover like 99% of people.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

No it is not just a another cold type virus. You don`t usually get countries shutting their borders if somebody sneezes in a normal scenario.

If you choose to ignore the obvious warning signs then your call, but don`t expect us all to be so naive as you, to see what is unfolding, and unfolding pretty rapidly.

This virus is a concern but it's being so blown out of proportion. Getting sick of the mass hysteria.

From a concerned individual point of view, I am shopping like normal and making sure I don’t deprive the vulnerable and elderly of essential items they need. I’m a fit and healthy 33 year old guy, so I can make do with my normal weekly shop with my fiancée instead of behaving like the pathetic people ransacking the supermarkets. From a selfish point of view, I’m
So f*** off with it all. Supposed to be getting married in southern Italy in 2 months. Highly unlikely this is going to happen now, so will have to postpone it to another date which means the ball ache of our guest being able to come another time. So down about it allcompletely ruined our 2020 this bulls**

There are millions of people affected.

People are losing family members.

I'm sure your wedding can wait.

How people conduct themselves is probably as big a threat as the virus itself.

Not normally one to stand up for Sandy but tbf mate, if anyone is entitled to feel a bit nervous about COVID, it's people in the most vulnerable age group.

Granted I don't know if Sandy has any underlying health issues, of course. But still.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I have Type two diabetes mate, but in general I am very healthy, and spend a lot of time in the great outdoors. But if I am told to stay in for months at a time, then I shall heed the advice and stay in.

My main gripe, is we are told we can order online, or my wife who is slightly younger can do the shopping. But so far yesterday, I could not get any online delivery, so my wife went shopping this morning, and there was nothing on the shelves.

So how are we to actually get food into the house, if we cannot either order or buy it?

Make a spear Sandy and head into the great outdoors and go hunting.
We could make a TV show about it.

This is a bit harsh - it’s completely understandable that Don is feeling down about things and gutted that a wedding in Southern Italy that’s been planned for a long time is to be postponed. It’s surely understandable for people to feel anxious and depressed

During the period of isolation supermarkets should prioritise deliveries for over 70’s. Not sure how you’d authenticate it and stop everyone saying they’re over 70.

I didn't say he couldn't be

Just saying, that with everything that is going on on a GLOBAL scale, a wedding can wait

Perspective and all dat.

If the primary schools close then those parents/guardians who are unable to work as a result will be terrified about being unable to pay bills or feed the family.

To people like this (I know plenty) the bigger picture argument is horseshit.

People who are hourly paid won't be much better off on £94.25 per week.
