I'm in the office now, alone (should be 10-12 people). We've been told we can stay at home, and I did yesterday but I'm within walking distance to the office so I thought I'd come in.. it's a weird atmosphere. It's a steady flow of Slack messages saying people are working from home. Even on the walk here, everyone is giving each other a bit of extra space on the pavement.
Same for me. Got a call Sunday night from my boss, saying we're WFH indefinitely.
Not so bad at the moment as at lunch I can at least go into town or for a wander. Going to be horrible when we're on full lockdown.
I’ve been WFH 10 days now
The only thing that has changed for me is no football.
Have you guys got a decent set up at home? I've just got a laptop, slows me down a lot.
Was considering getting a couple of screens and setting up in the spare room. But I think I will just do less work and watch TV most of the day
at home, just sat with my laptop on my lap while chilling on the couch

I've two screens at home, better ones than in my office and a much better computer.
I'm part of the 10% of "essential" people who apparently have to come in.
Local private hire firms have told the drivers to continue but use hand sanitizer and gloves when handling money.
Drivers going into pay rent are not allowed into the base rooms. Paying money through a hole in the door. Told to maintain 2 metre distance.
Different rules for different folk it seems and this is what's annoying for me.

I'm hearing drivers are asking for lower rent as custom has drastically reduced.
All the important people at ours got their screens and Bloomberg terminals set up at their homes last week.
They were the first to be put on WFH arrangements.
I'd quite like to go in now, so many are now at home, London will be nice and peaceful like the In between days over Xmas and New year.

Crazy. In my job the important people have to go in and all the others got sent home to work from there.
Even better, the mrs is home as well so you know what that means

Not heard that locally tbh. Doesn't mean it's not true
What is seemingly true locally, much to my surprise, is that there is still trade in the evening from people going out
We're starting to do a 50/50 split between working from home and being in the office. Trialling it for 2 weeks and then see where we're at.

I can believe that March date but there is no way anyone can say it'll be the last of the year at this stage.

My managers daughter is at Bristol Uni. She's back home now. No more lectures until Sept the earliest. All lessons will be online.
Expect much the same with schools
