Sky is a multi billion pound company with executive and an enormous amount of staff. Naturally IPTV providers aren't and therefore they can charge less.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
yeah...but £5 a month is ridiculous...I'm surprised it's even allowed..or legal

or isn't it
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It isn't legal, although it's the providers they go after who are hidden behind VPN's and have various other security measures to avoid detection.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
ah right...penny's dropped

so how long until the authorities do something about these then...?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I’ve been with my provider about 5 years and another before that 2 years

I'm on my 3rd year with IPTV, make the most while it lasts.

They can't do anything due to the security measures taken. Obviously those less secure can easily get hit and they could develop better methods to take them down. Although at say £65 for the year, less than the monthly cost of Sky, it's worth the risk, even if you get one month out of it. I've been on it for three or four years, had about two weeks of down time.

I have to say...despite the cost, I find Sky excellent quality as a product
BT is a close second footy wise, wasn't mad on Amazon Prime when they had some games last year...

The Sky Q package (apart from the fack awful remote) is brilliant & cheaper than my other old system, also if it goes wrong they fix it free

There’s a certain irony that iptv is a thorn in sky’s side, given sky were involved in hacking itv digital encryption back in 2002...

My BT package is £52 for internet incl line rental & HD BT sport

I have free access to Netflix & Amazon Prime via my son's accts

you're being fleeced.

Always keep the same tv and Internet provider.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Agree with this. I get the same sort of deal as Sherrif has for £94.00 per month with the fastest broadband speeds available with Virgin Media.

Never had any issues myself as my provider does it by sharing to my user and not having everyone using one user account

I got mine done early. aka the minute it was announced games wer eoff.

Sky are running scared now as they simply shrugged at me and said 1 months notice.

They were stupid. Its very likely they will lose a lot of customers over this as people realise the cost finally and shop round for the free stuff.

Sky should have been freezing accounts and giving peoepl a break til football came back.

Sky being Di1..CKS about the packages and threatening people is a joke cos we all know the score. the minute the thing starts back they'll be in offering half price packages and this or that.

My advice is the following: if you are NOT on sky Q (check your contract folks they actually own the box) get on and ask to be referred up and up and threaten to leave altogether and you'll eventually after much cost to YOU (again muck service) get to their complaints/leaving service teams and they will be authorised to do something.

I have only just rejoined Sky Sports a month ago, I added it back to my normal Sky package. Do you think they will let me cancel after only a month.

fun they hid it so well to harvest the morons

If they had any shred of decency, Sky and BT should be giving customers automatic discounts until the sports start up again.
