Just need the feckwits to act responsible. Like stop panic buying and being in large groups.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Need to lock all shopping trolleys away, baskets only, that may be a start.

What if you are shopping for a family ?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's an interesting idea but you point on a flaw.

I have 6 people in my house...including 4 sons in their 20's. One of them in 21 stones.

Our normal weekly shop looks like panic buying.

I'll buy what I need and no more but don't judge me for taking 8 toilet rolls rather than 4.

Might sound harsh but your family members overweight shouldn't be an excuse to bulk buy.

I have a family of 5 however we only use 9 toilet rolls typically over 2 week, sometimes we stretch to 3 weeks.

obviously that depends on illness and who is home which will change going forward.

I'm thinking 9 should be good for 2 weeks hopefully but we're see

But conveniently you miss the point that he is buying for 6 people. I have a family of 4 and if we go shopping the cart is full to the rim. And in Ireland people shop big in one go, so they don't have to go out that often because getting to a shopping centre in Ireland is a facking nightmare, it takes a traffic jam to get in and then takes 30 minutes to find a parking spot.

After my wife making endless trips going to the big supermarkets, over the past week, and getting next to nothing she wanted, I popped into my local corner shop this morning, five minutes walk down the road, and bingo, fully stocked up, loads of toilet rolls I brought milk, eggs, bread etc, and yes just one pack of toilet rolls, when I could have taken dozens, but I thought of others. Oh and all paid for by the £30 I won on the lottery on Wednesday. My luck has changed.

I shall of course not reveal where this corner shop is, other than the fact it is not actually on a corner.
