Yeah I’ll still be running, but then again I live in the country and there little chance of me coming into contact, I’ll be lucky if I see 1 person on my run...
You have to say that it beggars belief what goes through some British people's minds, despite all the information and despite all the warnings we are given on a daily basis.
Seeing media clips of these sheep-like people, amassing in their herds, even on top of Snowdon for Christ's sake, or in public parks, and places of general interest, up and down the country, over the weekend, can only make me think that they either don't understand, don't believe, or just don't care.
I can only presume that these idiots are the same people who queue outside supermarkets for a bunfight with their neighbours over a bog roll.
I fear it will only take a curfew with Martial Law being imposed by the Gvt. to make these people wake up and smell the Coronavirus.
Our lives are about to change dramatically.
I keep seeing pleas to young people not to meet etc...but the fact is they are just a small percentage of the problem. The idiotic behaviour of people treating this like some early summer holiday is astounding; These people won’t stop and see the seriousness of this until it comes to their own doorstep, then they will be the most vocal in calling out the government for not doing enough etc.... how about wise up an stay at home.
ordinarily, I woud smile seeing these reckless people and think natural selection will take care of them. Unfortunately, they are more likely to pass the virus on to someone else who is more vulnerable
The PM has handled this terribly. Imagine allowing people one last knees up on Friday.
He needs to be out there telling people they will murder their relatives if they don’t stay in (maybe not quite as brutal as that but no one will judge him badly if he is a bit OTT) - instead he looks way out of his depth and like a physics teacher trying to take a PE class.
The PM has handled this terribly.

He is having a mare.
His legagcy when this is all over will be judged by him playing Russian Roulette with our healthcare professionals pushing them onto the front-line with woefully equipped medical equipment and protection clothing after years of underfunding of the NHS. (it really is basically a pair of marigolds and a hanky strapped over your mouth). Lambs to the Slaughter indeed.
(But they are Old Etonion buffoons after all. Canon fodder is a well tried and tested military strategy formulated on the Rugby playing fields of Eton, except the soldiers in this war happen to be Doctors and Nurses).

The country should have been put on lockdown 2 weeks ago, if not before that.
The same folk who peddled the "we have had enough of experts" line for their own political gain are now aghast that people are not following expert advice.

I have an email from a client in Italy advising strongly that i self isolate and see only immediate family who i live with.
Also said the illness is far worse than made out, whilst it may not kill healthy adults it's much worse than a seasonal cold.
I don't think British people quite understand the severity og the situation.
The amount of old people out this morning still.
Getting on the bus, touching handles with bare hands
I have to work but they need to be indoors!
Want to shake them, others are not taking it seriously enough to protect them.
To be fair, for a generation that grew up during the Second World War/Cold War this probably does seem like a bit of fuss over nothing. Hard to fear an intangible enemy.
People need to stop saying we needed a full lock down weeks ago, when that's the exact reas on why Italy has as many deaths as we have cases, and the first cases were 1 day apart.
Italy didn't treat it seriously and people had mass socials and holidays with their families. That's what caused the problem. Every country has ignorant idiots but this country is doing far better than most.
Switzerland and other countries have capacity for less than .1% of the population, if it gets crazy, and I think the government has responded quickly for a problem it's nigh on impossible to plan for.

It 100% kills healthy adults and lots of hospitals in the UK are full of 20-30 yr old because of this.
If one person infects you your chances are much better than if several infected people do so. The more exposure the worse your chances of survival. It swamps your lungs before your immune system can fight it or react to it, and even then I'm told the problem is it makes your immune system kill good and bad cells, wiping out uour respiration organs. That's why those infected must isolate alone and not sit in rooms together as that'll result in deaths.
You can also catch it multiple times.
