Served his constituents and country since 1983 and will continue to do so as a back bencher

A socialist, a trade unionist, a pacifist, an anti-nuclear weapons campaigner, a stop the war activist, an LGBT activist, an anti-apartheid activist, an anti-fascist.

What a Pillock.

He’s served....the !RA, Hezbollah, Hamas & ISIS

He’s been an absolute leader in putting any and every Terrorist faction up and beyond the welfare of this Country territory

Don’t make me laugh about his serving our Country, he’s openly admitted he’d want turn this Country into a Republic

Thank God the Nation saw him for what he was and voted accordingly

I suppose it depends on whether you appreciate and want to keep your Monarchy in place

Mate, I think it’s a bit more than ‘some’

I would guess it would the vast majority in this Country...maybe 30 years ago there might have been a lot more apathy...but I would imagine if it went to a vote to the Country nowadays, the Monarchy would win hands down

You don't like him and that's fine, I think he's a decent man, a principled man, perhaps never a leader but 10.2m voted for his Labour party.

Total brainwashed fiction to claim (a) he hasn't publically served this country (b) he's a 5th columnist.

Who has said that?

Mere observation from thread and site and sections of social media.

Rightly, Tories and dup and Trump get it in the neck daily, but if Corbyn gets a touch, it is jumped on...which again, is fair as I play the political and party partisan game too.

But, I also see good on the left and call Bojo and Trump and dup out.

Personally, I vowed to counter jezza from the eighties when he was part of pira crowds in London marching in Archway, as the ra bombed the city.

He may be a nice guy in private, well meaning, but he also deserves criticism.

Voters did not trust him.

More working class voters went Tory than Labour, partly due to jezza.

Corbyn lost to May and Bojo, so that left Tories in power.

That alone is unforgivable, surely lol?

Sections of social media and front line media have absolutely slammed Corbyn for years so I'm not really sure what your point is. People can criticise him, I'm left and I have no respect for him because he should have stood down for the greater good. He was never getting voted in, he should have known that him being leader would put the party, and the country back a decade. He deserves plenty of criticism and gets it across the board. I find it weird that people dont see that bearing in mind what's happened the last 3 years.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Oh, I agree that the papers of the right hammered Corbyn and no doubt big business capitalism feared him....but so did ordinary people, the CBI and IFS financial experts, unionists in Ulster and Jewish Labour voters, the armed forces community and NATO, who jezza opposed.

Jezza did not reach out to America or Israel or unionists, even though he did so with pira and Hamas.

Of course the Daily Telegraph and Mail smeared Corbyn, just as others in media smear the dup or Conservatives....not just calling them to boot about their obvious failings.

Economically, I am left leaning and detest the rich poor gap, boss v worker pay gap, but I cannot ever vote Labour, as the Irish republican section in Labour represented by guys like jezza, refuse to stand in Ulster.

That is silly...even Tories stand here, with few votes.

Am not having a personal dig at you, but there are some in Momentum type mindset who try to stop anyone calling Corbyn Out, even against Labour members, mps and voters.

GTW

We will discuss further, and agree to disagree like adults, with our own opinion.

Or perhaps see we are pretty much the same deep down, especially when things such as life and death are more pertinent.

Safe safe, dude.

The issue I have with Corbyn has been explained on this site a number of times - some folk act as though he’s some kind of saint - he was, and continues to be a threat to our Country - and I for one, was grateful for the vast majority that saw through him and the loony left and booted the lot of them into touch

Some folk on here just can’t handle that, or any criticism of Corbyn or anyone who doesn’t agree with their point of view - so they result to name calling and personal insults

These are the same people, that are daily slating the Government and telling us all how they’re getting it so wrong, and how Boris is continually personally responsible the current situation, that he’s screwed up and done nothing right

And God forbid anyone who dare speak up against such folk

Blinkered hypocrites

Firstly the main reason why JC lost the election was due to Labours ambiguous posturing on Brexit.

Johnson, was considered the least worst option for many.

Johnson, under Cummings’ direction *is* without doubt responsible.

By firstly failing to implement adequate contingency plans as the virus spread throughout China. And when the virus reached our shores ignoring WHO guidance by implementing the ‘herd immunity’ plan.

His failure to introduce social distancing, implement a lock down, and procure much needed PPE, when it was clear the virus was going to become a pandemic has already cost lives.

The government will, and has also cost more lives by refusing to pool resources with Europe in procuring essential medical equipment (gloves, goggles, face-shields, ventilators, surgical masks, overalls etc)

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/coronavirus-boris-johnson-medical-equipment-eu-brexit-a9424631.html

The CEO of MEC Medical (UK ventilator company) was on Newsnight last night and was asked what happened when he reached out to the government many weeks ago about supplying parts for ventilators.

“Nothing, quite honestly” was his response.

Instead the government have awarded a contract to Conservative party donor Sir James Dyson, who has never manufactured ventilators before, and will not be ready for at least another month.

Whilst any government would have struggled to manage this unprecedented situation, when it is all over I suspect there will be a public enquiry in regard to some of the irresponsible decisions made by Johnson’s government.
