Agreed....And it gets neighbours seeing each other and chatting.

Stuff like this sounds cringey to me, sorry. I always treat hospital and care staff with the upmost respect. I did before this crisis and will continue to afterwards.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I’ve seen this done in other countries and found it quite moving.
Anyway, it’s not compulsory.

I get that cringe thing too, and do not follow herd mentality usually, but this is different, imho

Yup, in Italy then Spain.
Lifted spirits.
Our culture may be more reserved, I guess, but hey.....
It cannot hurt.

I think it’s pretty respectful and a good way for people to have a little connection.

Seen the footage.
Well maybe not of you, but some footage.
This is a bit different, they're putting themselves very much in harms way even more than usual and they'll likely have to forget about being close to their own family when they do get a break
I’d like to get involved with this.
Unfortunately I live on the first floor and don’t really have a balcony
They won’t hear it
Anyway wouldn’t it be better for them to get a pay rise rather than a round of applause?
Surprise surprise, parking charges for NHS scrapped
For years they’ve screwed every penny they can out of our “Fantastic NHS staff” to park at their place of work, now there’s a pandemic they’ve relented,
After treating me for clap it’s only fair I treat them with one
Apparently some girls mum was at her front door clapping for 45 minutes this morning bless her getting her am and pm mixed up.
I have a dilemma as I have neighbours at the front (the street) and back (overlooking gardens) so not sure which end to go with.
Could do me at the back and missus out the front or both do the front as that’s our street I guess.
Just no the back lot will be cursing us ‘orrid bassstards can’t even clap for our nurses’
Maybe run between the two....
