So how 'locked down' is the UK now? Are the police stopping people driving? Can you still go out to parks?

Perhaps he'll explain why he's refused to co-operate with the EU over the initiative to bulk buy ventilators and other equipment needed to tackle Coronavirus.
I doubt he'll admit he'd rather pursue the ideological Brexit narrative.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

We have our own sources. See Germany refused to allow equipment to go to Austria.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

But it’s so great to be in the EU.

Look at Spain, Greece and Portugal as they thrive and don’t need propping up by Germany.

Stay at home, not stay inside. As long as you keep your social distance you can enjoy the fresh air.

Yeah but does that include driving 20 miles to a beach or forest? Or more a walk from home or within a few miles?

In North Yorkshire they are preventing people travelling into Whitby/scarbrough etc unless you can prove you are a resident/essential worker/going hospital.

Quite.

Thai wonderful cooperation only exists as far as getting a deal. Wonder if they’ll argue over who gets what and when.

Meanwhile France, Germany, Spain, Italy et al do what is best for their own country and citizens. Some collaboration and united front there eh?

EU rules suddenly no longer inflexible. Not that I blame any of them.
Give me peace.

Nobody will be “thriving” for decades after this, whether in the EU or not.

I wonder if all the low paid hospital cleaners and ancillary workers will be treated with the same disdain they have for the last 10 years. After we have been hearing for months from the Tories how this country does not want unskilled workers coming into the country

Be interesting how the Tories spin that one.

Everyone has, haven’t you noticed?

Obviously I’d still prefer the 33,000 fully trained EU citizens who worked in our NHS to still be there instead of a crappy blue passport, but you wanted rid, so we are where we are.

Johnson and that puppet child chancellor clapping like seals outside number 10 last night, as if that absolves them of 10 years of cuts to our NHS.

A truly repulsive sight I’m sure we can all agree.

Let’s not remember cuts the guys made before the torries got in.

Socialism doesn’t work, we had it in the 70’s.

Let’s head back to those heady days....

We need a balanced system, a fair system. But nobody will ever be please.

Want a better funded NHS and welfare state. Pay more tax, pay more for goods and services for more corporation tax

But ultimatley, don’t let people who have access to the NHS abuse it.

They will need to be far better equipped and rewarded after this is over

Erm, I think you’ll find that socialism is the ONLY thing that works, as we are all literally witnessing right now.

Except they’re not I’m afraid.

And believe me this goes on much longer and practically every business unless it is benefitting from this or is publicly funded will be laying staff off.

If this lockdown goes on for 8-12 weeks or even longer, thousands of businesses large and small will simply run out of cash and fold making their employees unemployed.

The businesses have to continue to find this and reclaim the money all the time while their revenue drops to maybe nil and customers don’t pay them in order to preserve their own cash.

I’m not sure too many grasp that.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think everyone grasps that tbh.

But if everyone does then fair enough
