Zico,

Wife kinda says the same bud,its mad really because a year or so ago she also applied and got an interview on a week day so used her lunch hour to pop up there, before she got back to work she`d been called and offered the job,she handed in her notice, said goodbye to the kids, recieved many gifts from parents of the kids including 6 nurses watches haha Only to have it pulled away from under her feet!

The job shes in said we never gave you a bad refference we just had to be honest and tell them about the time you had off!

She had phemonia and that started off septis and she needed two blood tranfusions, never lost any limbs or anything but fecked her immune system up a tad.So they the Nhs withdrew that job and the nursery took her back on.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Good on her although I don't think anyone could blame you for having concerns. Equally with the risks don't think you could blame her for not going ahead.

Working for nhs Will always involve sacrifice though so if not now there will be other risks in future so potentially something you just have to accept.

I would say however with having had pneumonia isn't she in the vulnerable group?

Her current employer are at it I think. Not aware of any left requirement to disclose absence records.

The same reason every NHS employee is, to save people regardless of the risk to themselves

You would never live with yourself if something bad happened

People need to just take the advice and stay home

If you think so crack on but I've told my boss nope. This thing is deadly and if you catch it now you are humped due to the wave that is about to hit.

It targets the lungs and kills you

IMO, if you have an elderly person in the house then don't do it please.

Alternatively she can take the job, move out and live alone for a couple of months if possible, until it blows over.
