so why did he do a runner from the scene? is that ok even if he wasn't drinking?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He left his details with a member of the public. I'd assume one of the car owners. That's not doing a runner.

wonder why he wanted to leave the scene so quick? avoid a breathalyzer?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Quite possibly. But it's all speculation for now. For now he had had a minor bump, left his details and gone on his way. You don't have to involve the police in such instances. As for why he left the car, maybe it was leaking some liquid and he wasn't happy to drive? Maybe the air bag deployed and needed resetting? Who knows? Time will tell I am sure.

Would’ve been fun watching the cult defend him

There’s not really a lot of details there, even then, if the inference is that he was the driver, what’s the issue? He crashed his car causing minor damage to others, and left his details with a member of the public. A situation that could happen to anyone lol.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

The day before he implored people to stay at home but then the next day was out driving his car and crashing it. A bit stupid from him.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Also clearly drunk.

He's well known in the area to enjoy a party, one of the reasons I felt he'd never quite be top level.

Thought he upped the professionalism the last 12/18 months to be fair. I'm sure a lot of players are doing things they shouldn't be right now.

Perhaps he's too good for Utd !

I don't think you're in a position to mock us, When you lot have Marcos Alonso.

posted on 30/3/20

There was a rumour on Twitter that he was celebrating a fee being agreed between United and Villa.

Matth, come on mate I'm not mocking at all, just a little light banter is all,and by the way ,I thought that your original response to my first comment, was very quick and first class.

Keep it up and don't be so serious.

He’s well known to be a bit of an idiot, though it looked like for a while he’d left that behind.

People just need to accept that footballers, in general, are quite thick

Loads of top players have been known to like a drink/party. Our all time top goal scorer for one.

It's less and less commonplace in the modern game

Of course, but I don’t think it’s something you can point to and say it’ll prohibit him from being a top player, he’s already shown himself to be a top player in the prem this year.
