I think it should be brought into law, that full refunds should be given during this Coronavirus Pandemic. No Ifs, No Buts.

You deserve a full refund and maybe even some compensation but this cannot happen surely.

We were the first British team to lift any European Silverware 1964 and Celtic were the first British team to lift the CL 1967 and I respect both clubs achievements in that regard!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We won the European Cup Winners Cup in 1963, the first ever British winners of a European trophy.

We were also cheated out of the European Cup semi final in 1962 by some rather disgraceful refereeing.

You're a Spurs fan.
You won't be needing Eurostar for a few seasons.

Hang on sandy, aren't you the football historian talking about how great the old days were? Now you use how long ago something happened as a negative?

Well said mate

Train companies have been quite good. They’ve changed the stupid advance single ticket rule. For anyone not aware how they work, for some train journeys especially longer ones, the only way to get a ticket that isn’t stupidly expensive is to get an advance single, usually weeks-months in advance. It is at a relatively reasonable price but it is for a specific time and date, and is non-refundable. So if you book a train journey for a trip weeks in advance and have your you don’t need to make that journey through something completely out of your control (eg. A worldwide global pandemic) it is not refundable.

Surprisingly they recently lifted the non-refund rule for advance tickets (after saying they wouldn’t at start of March) and credit to them, the process is simple. You just go online, fill out quick details and refund will come back within a month.

Like the Sky Sports cancel thing, wish more companies just made it this simple. Like others have inferred on this thread lots of other travel companies just creating more grief for themselves and their customers. I was meant to fly with EasyJet last week. My flight was cancelled a few days before, in fact their whole fleet is grounded. Normally when a flight is cancelled, there is an online full refund claim. EasyJet CHANGED their website to remove this - their refund page only shows how to use credit to book another flight, in small print it says if you want a full refund to contact their customer services. Lol.

Contacting their customer services of course is met by radio silence. Call doesn’t connect, no replies to emails and their social media pages are inundated. It is of course a busy time but they’d make things much easier for them and customers to just have a simple refund option on their page. Perhaps the only caveat I’ve considered is they’re keeping customer’s money to pay staff knowing full well that they will have to refund customers eventually.

Yup I got a full refund on a West Coast advanced fare, which they don't usually do, but Eurostar won't budge, then are charging exorbitant fares for any change of travel date.

Apologies Billy, May 1963 5-1 Atletico Madrid. Before my time. I just knew we were the first British side to lift any European trophy. And Celtic were the first to lift the CL.

Well it doesn`t really, but you put 1964, which shows you don`t know a lot about your own club. Poor show really mate. Every Spurs supporter should have it indelible in their grey matter for evermore that Spurs were the British first club to win a European Trophy in 1963.

If you used a credit card for the booking you can get your money back by disputing the charge.

Gotta say that's unbelievable, Sandy!
Even worse than United Airlines ..... which is saying something.
They will allow you to re-book during Corona Virus times at no extra charge.
Frankly, I'd sue the basstards for a refund.
If you can't do that, then write to the Newspapers.

Same here. Family holiday ( 7 people ) booked for holiday in Amsterdam in May. Obviously cancelled and the hotel fully refunded, without the slightest quibble, within 2 days. But the train tickets....absolutely no chance of a refund, the best we could get was a "voucher" allowing us to travel at a later date.

To me this is clearly going against the government travel recommendations, not to mention blatantly ignoring the fact that many countries have closed their borders to "foreigners"

We even had this with Buckingham Palace of all places. Had booked a tour of something there, together with a separate visit to the Saachi gallery around the same date. Both cancelled. Saatchi gallery refunded tickets without us even asking, but Buck Palace would not refund and, again, only offered an extension of the tickets, even though we made it clear we did not wish to go in the current climate. I guess that is why Queenie is so rich.

Is penny pinching at it's worse. This and other stories coming out, like the Mike Ashley situation is now showing certain people's true colours. Would add Branson and Levy to that list.

Just got it confirmed, money back from the holiday park. They wanted to give a coronavoucher first, but I told them to stick it or would take action. As per law, they have to give your money back if they dont provide what you paid for. Period.

Just wait until the restrictions hit your trip and then you will get your money back.
