Seriously though.

If Celtic are awarded the league title say next week or so and we're in lockdown; exactly how hollow will that be?

How the hell do you celebrate it? Just get pashed on your own and annoy the family even more than normal?

I just don't get it to be honest.

Its not the way anyone would want it, but what is the way anyone wants anything just now?

Exceptional times and not one thing we can do about it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Personally I'd rather we make no plans at all for next season and see this one out. Work with what's left after that.

Yes there is we can void the league.
Your opinion isn't the only valid one
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I think that's been thrown out due to UEFA threatening to not enter teams from any country who doesn't have a "conclusion" and league placings.

Although I suppose we could void the league (in other words just not declare a champion) but nominate the final placings for UEFA competitions

Anyway, bottle of MD dragon fruit in the fridge, excited to see what it's like.

Not sure how much longer i can last before opening it....

Mate....my crowd were early adopters.
Put quite a few empties in the glass bin last weekend.
Haven't tried it as taking things easy at the moment but has a wee sniff at the empties.
That...is.....sensational!

Heard fabulous reviews of it mate, I should have got 2 bottles but to be fair the shop that does them over here is only a 2 minute drive if need be later on.

Final client call at 11.30 so I intent to open it after that.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Make sure and buy some essentials with it.

Heard two separate occasions where £60 fines have been dished out for those only buying 'non-essential' bevvy...

Need to give it time. By may we could be back playing.

Who knows.

Then we just cram the games in 3 games a week.

Saying void the league is a clear indication that you're not happy with your teams performance
There are 30 games played , we've played most teams 3 times
Were the best team in the league by a long distance , hearts are the worst

All the noise in-between doesn't matter that much

Also
I'm not sure why the reluctance to play games behind closed doors , at least explore the option

Some just seem shut off to it which is a bit baffling .

i understand why rangers dont want to.

a) cos it finishes the league and they are unlikely to be champions.

b) they may have to pay win bonuses

At the risk of applying an objective opinion (I know, I know)

I believe that Rangers want to play the games - just not behind close doors?

Did Rangers say they want the league declared null and void?

posted on 3/4/20

That statement about not wanting to play because they couldn't face not having the fans that supported them through the romantic journey was fcking brilliant

With all due respect - is playing of the games in front of a crowd in June/July not a little more likely to happen?

posted on 3/4/20

Right here is my opinion

Pin your ears back and listen

The league will be finished, it may not be until June/July time but it will finish. Next season will be delayed and we will have quite a lot more midweek games (perhaps not split so we finish on 33)

Celtic will win the league this season, Rangers fans (some not all) will call it void for whatever bitter reason is in their heads.

Celtic fans (some not all) will claim some huge conspiracy that Rangers haven't gone into admin again.

Then Celtic will win 10 In A Row and we will celebrate like mad

The point is sometimes you just have to make do with what's available

And with regards the paraphrasing ,yes what rangers actually said was

" we are strongly opposed to playing games behind closed doors , Rangers fans have stick by our club in the darkest if times . their loyalty will not be forgotten and they will not be left behind "

Even worse than how I paraphrased it

So much that is guesswork with all of this, even if decisions are made by UEFA, SPFL etc that could change a day or a week later dependant on what happens with the virus situation, second wave or rise in numbers after a drop

Would be great to be able to be looking forward to going to a game, few beers, good craic and hopefully a win and then a title soon after but I've honestly given up surmising whats gonna happen over the next few months fitba wise

Seriously though, you have to ask what the fwck is happening at Rangers right now.

They are strapped for cash and are refusing to get some money in from a government led initiative that doesn't have to be repaid and will keep all their staff earning less that £37,500 on the books until the end of May.

They can't get finance and they sure as hell won't get any for quite some time in the economic aftermath of all this.

We've been getting told about these mystery well heeled investors about to plough in many many millions to the club and now we have one practically paraded in the media and named as about to stick in £20m.

The board say it is happening and they have received "soime" funds. King says it is on hold. The named investor has dropped out of sight.

McColl was spoken to and his words completely and deliberately misconstrued to suggest he was about to pour in money. He's not as was later clarified.

So when nobody from the outside has come forward when Rangers were doing well, would they suddenly do it now when we are about to face an economic meltdown many times worse than the worldwide crash from 2007?

None of this makes any sense. Just why are they not taking this government handout? You can be sure they would qualify and it would be absolutely the correct thing to do to help protect themselves.

Thankfully it looks like Uefa are asking teams to play games in July and August and the European competition will be played then as well

So all the greeting can stop

How can anyone genuinely believe we will see live football complete with crowds until September at the very earliest?

Not one single scenario played out by those in government suggest any normality until that date. The Scottish parliament are far stricter on lockdown and want it to be much tougher than Westminster ffs.

It will be a phased climb out of this when it does happen and you'd think that having 58,000 crowds in a stadium with all the transport being used will be last on the agenda.

I think you are comparing apples with err, oranges re the Saturdays analogy.

I don't think the statement is nearly as bad as you are making out.

If you can't thank the fans for turning up in numbers to watch Ian Black, Kevin Kyle, et al by winning trophies, the very least you can do is publicly recognise that loyalty.
