I'd forgotten just how good a few tunes were.

Wide Open Space by Mansun is epic IMO and There She Goes by the La's a perfect bit of pop.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Wide Open Space is dreamy spiritual lift music.

Must admit I've been listening to it quite a bit. Never really realised the backing in the song before now. I think I like it as it reminds me of a time when I was 19 and going out every weekend and going on holiday with my friends. The lyrics are rather appropriate for now as well

After the Stone Roses, Charlatans and Happy Mondays a few of us got into dance, and it was the best of times.

Sounds like you went through a similar nineties mini utopia , Diafol

Blur were way better than Oasis.

Prove me wrong.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I don't think they were better but I enjoy both of them. Blur were a bit more diverse in their music though which they have going for them.

I'm old enough to remember when they were battling it out for the number 1 spot and I bought Roll With It. Those were good times.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Battling out with two of their worst records as well!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah Roll With It is one of my least favourite songs off that album now.

Saw oasis twice in nineties, in Belfast where it was a beer throwing fest, and Cork Gaelic ground, where we took E and Prodigy Firestarter welcomed us in as backing band.

Nutty night

Yeah, of all the songs they were releasing around that time, and that one gets to number 1. Beetlebum got to number 1 too though and that was better.

Loved leftfield..didn't they do Trainspotting soundtrack.

Orbital light show at Glasto.

Chemical brothers were out there too, like Prodigy with the late Keith Flint , a fellow biker speed freak.

Sounds great!

I had a few years from 96 to 99 where everything seemed possible and I truly grew into an adult (first full time job, going abroad, drinking, being allowed to vote etc). At that time saw the Manics, James, Stereophonics, Kula Shaker, Super Furries, Mansun etc as well as going to V97 and occasionally doing a few songs in my friend's band at small pub gigs. Great times if a little hazy because of drink!
