Not a fan of tv football

If it gets the season completed I guess it’s ok

If all participants can be kept safe

Yep, it's gonna be great to watch a match where only one camera is allowed in the stadium.

It's not ideal but I suspect we will have a slow transition to normality and mass gatherings will be the last thing to restart

Clubs cannot continue indefinitely for prolonged periods without income, this appears to be the best of a lot of not ideal options

Looking like the only way to finish, though players unions may be against it.

If it is deemed safe for players and staff to mingle then why not fans? Even if its every other seat....

its a contact sport so players will infect each other until clubs have no players left.

Once we can be sure front line NHS can work safely it might be a good time to think about this

As long as Rangers are prepared to leave Alfie out they should all be safe enough.

You can only infect somebody if you're infected dimwit. They're not going to send infected players out to play. You'd imagine testing would be part of the plan, otherwise they're as thick as you are.

What’s not to like? Those that have paid for games up to the season close and will no doubt receive some sort of Monopoly money compensation

My idea was for clubs to broadcast games on their own pay per view channel online so they would still get the revenue from those who would have gone to the game.

If sky and bt were to follow suit with Canal plus in france and withold payments for games not played does anyone think that EPL clubs could go bust?

Most of them are significantly funded by TV income, a lot of folks talking about small clubs going bust but a lot of the big ones could be in a lot of trouble too.

I just cant see these games getting played, even behind closed doors

They'll mump and moan to try and maintain some relevance until more players start losing their jobs then be forced to cave. Like most unions they will fight to preserve short-term member interests versus what may be in the long-term good. Clubs will fight to preserve theirs.
