She is the one advising the government on the life and death importance of such actions. Absolutely unacceptable. For sturgeon to all but excuse it, keep calm and carry on, highlights exactly I hold so many politicians in utter disdain.

I’d hardly say she excused it. No idea how many times she said it was wrong, and did not condone it. Sturgeon I don’t think looked at her once during the whole conference.
She’ll probably go after this has all quietened down.

The conference gave prince Andrew's interview a close run in terms of cringeworthyness. The woman is fronting a TV campaign telling folk to stay inside for F sake. It's an error of judgement akin to fronting a anti drink drive campaign and then getting in to a car drunk and crashing into a bus stop. You should be done, finished, not just giving it a mea culpa, won't happen again. But clearly someone whose judgement is so moronic should just carry on advisor the first minister on social distancing and maters relating to the pandemic. If sturgeon genuinely believes that, then she isn't for for office either.

The point being made though was that at no point did Sturgeon excuse her though-she did the exact opposite. She even brought her ought face the media. From a PR point of view, it probably would have been the best thing to just get rid of her, and I think she will once this has settled down a bit.
I just think people now hold others to a level that will always mean they’ll find a hole in them somewhere.

If we accept what she the CMO has done is inexcusable.
Then during a conference to support that person in their role without removal or consequence is to excuse it, irrespective of the words Sturgeon may have said.
The message it sends and the demonstration as to the rational decision making capability of the CMO for me at least is intolerable.
Think it also calls into question Sturgeons decision making.
Are they maybe lovers?

Yeah and it was standing up on stage right then and backing the CMO to carry on in her position and taking council from her words of wisdom and judgement. If sturgeon had said, we will be looking to replace her in the coming weeks. I'd give her a pass. It's not the time for considering her feelings or beating about the bush. I get your point, and I’ll put my trust in Sturgeon to make the right choice in this one. I don’t know what the full conversation has been behind closed doors, so she may already have said that to her that she’s on her road out. Don’t know.
