Proud of the club

Same, shame they allowed it to get to that stage though, showing their greedy side again and got slapped back down again by the fans. There was clearly no need to increase the ticket prices to cover stadium costs and there was clearly no need to try and sponge off the government and taxpayers to pay for club staff, but ultimately they made the correct decision both times... eventually.

Maybe they thought it'd be ok cause Spurs plan to do it first, but our fans wont stand for bs like this which is heartening.

Goes to show the owners can never have it their own way at our club, couldnt trademark Liverpool couldnt increase ticket prices and certainly not this. Glad the rest of the club make it make it known collectively when they overstep the mark

Appalling behaviour, they only took this decision because they were shamed into it

Totally Disgusting Club

I am just glad that the decision was changed and it also shows how much influence the Liverpool fans and ex players like Carra and Didi still have on the club. That has to be commended. Not many clubs can boast of this.

Total fook up by the owners in this. Did anyone read the piece in the Echo by SOS about it?

Obvs read my article then changed their mind....☺

Nothing to be proud of. This is motivated by greed and fear of a supporter backlash which hits their back pockets

Can’t say I’m proud of the mess created by this shocker of a decision by the owners. They actually showed their true colours and back tracking now doesn’t get them off the hook. They did U turn though so the right decision in the end.

The credit goes to our fans for putting the pressure on right away, at least we know what the club should stand for.

Agree with that, Liverpool fans were very impressive with this

Exactly.

It's not the first time that the fan base has had to educate our owners as to what the club should be about.

In a way, its almost worse that they have reversed the decision. It shows that they didn't need to do it in the first place and it was solely motivated by greed which they thought they could get away with. They have shown a complete disregard for people and only reversed the decision due to backlash, not just from Liverpool fans but from football fans in general.

I would not be proud of the club had it been Wolves. Any credit should go to the football community for putting the pressure on them.

Yes, at last, decency, humanity, sanity returns. But is that it?

Not for me. Trust, very hard to achieve, very easy, as has been shown by their greedy and selfish actions, to throw it away.

Even more difficult now to get it back. For all employees of LFC, the embarrassment of having to duck the question of their views on the owners’ actions without putting their own position, from top to bottom, at risk.

For me? Trust is a long way off.

Yeah, when a guy who thinks it’s acceptable for an adult to spit at a little girl knows that what you’re doing is morally repugnant, you know you’ve really facked up.

FSG have made 500 amazing decisions and a couple of howlers - most of which have been reversed.

It would be wrong for the supporters to turn on them for this. Yes, it was a poor decision that lacked the foresight to see the backlash but ultimately, they reversed the call.

Let’s move on from this now.

I kind of see what you’re saying.

But it’s *definitely* better that they’ve reversed the decision

Proud of the club? Nah. You’ve got a core group of fans you can be proud of. But feck ur club at this moment.

Frankly the wums have it more right than wrong on this.

They'll never say anything good ever but there's little good to be said about this.

When someone does something bad and apologises its the least they can do. Not something to praise.

That said you either accept the apology and fix or you don't. that's the choice as fans.

People should realise the detail of what was said yesterday. LFC will find the moeny some other way.

So I fully expect both the stadium expansion to be put on hold totall and no transfers his summer/autumn/winter

that stands to reason. (even if the total furlough money was only 5mil max) If they needed to scrape for small money then big money expenses have to be out.

==================
And we all know life unfortunately doesn’t always work like that - which is a sad state of affairs

It seems, there are always those than want to continually kick the can down the road irrespective of how many times an apology is offered

Its not up to fans of anyone but liverpool. If fans of liverpool don't want to accept it then they can make their case.

people with agendas from outside the club fan base don't count as they'd never accept anything no matter what.

i rest my case

Its up to liverpool fans to accept the apology or not and decide what they do about that.

with respect to non Liverpool fans you don't go to games or buy merchanside so you've no way of showing your displeasure but acting out and attacking liverpool fans online.

Liverpool fans can either accept the club's position or hand in season tickets or whatever.

Give over pal many of your fans have been lapping up City trying to swindle ffp, I think Liverpool trying to swindle the tax payer is fair game for everyone.

2 things. What City did was actually cheating. At least our owners decision was legitimate (albeit the wrong call).

Secondly, Liverpool above any other club have always known the difference between owners and the holy trinity - which is the manager, the players and the fans. Leave those in the board room to sign the checks.
