Liverpool listen to their fans, that’s the difference. Levy couldn’t careless. He won’t reverse it.

Liverpool realised it was a PR disaster, I doubt anything their fans said really mattered.

PR disaster or not, they listened within hours and reversed it quickly. Levy couldn’t careless about PR aslong as the bank balance is healthy.

No problem with us using the scheme for the 40% that can’t WFH but they should be topping it up and they shouldn’t be making the ones who are wfh take a pay cut at all.

Its typical of Levy mate. This has all been done for leverage in his and other owners intention to force the hand of the PFA to get players to take a pay cut. As wealthy as PL clubs are, they are not swimming in cash to the levels we all think they are. Average cash reserves at a PL club is something like 30mln quid so they could easily afford to pay staff for a few months. The Elephant in the corner of the room is that 70% of gross revenue goes on players wages and with no gate receipts and with a possible bill to the broadcasters coming through a lack of games, the clubs (Spurs especially) are putting the onus on the players to cut wages while they are not playing.

The PFA are trying to spin the rhetoric, making it all about the NHS.. which its not. Its the Govt's job to use the billions in tax revs they receive to run the NHS.

Don't expect a change in stance from Spurs anytime soon. If there's a chairman out there who resents transfer fees, agents fee's & players wages more than anyone...... Its Levy

It's not as if there's enough high profile Tottenham fans to raise a stink.

The Liverpool situation quickly became untenable once people like Carragher started piling on.

I wouldn’t give them too much credit tbh
They were shamed into pretending to care
Like I said I doubt Levy HAS any shame

As for this worst countries argument pointless exercise but for every country you mention as the worst there’s always other countries behind that or enabling it.

It is absolutely disgusting that a club/business like Spurs are doing this. Liverpool have rightly u-turned and kudos to the Liverpool fans out there that helped changing their club's decision on this.

As one of the guys from TFS podcast alluded to. The cost of fixing the PR with this through a PR firm will likely be hundreds of thousands. Enough to cover the wages of employees.

I think this is a good point that most have overlooked. Liverpool have the likes of Carra who is politically savvy, has a good standing in the game and is a voice to millions of football fans - saying how disgraceful the decision is. Who do spurs have? Ledley King is hardly the sharpest tool in the box; Hoddle is probably saying all these people were terrible in their past life.

An opportunity for Brownie Points and they took it, Levy won`t do the same, he will do what is best for his business.

There are Spurs fans making excuses for Levy. If the fans aren't united in pressuring then it won't have an effect.
