Hagi

The player has to agree to it (contract details and all that), but it is possible that he already has when the loan went through.

I was thinking maybe that he had signed something but that has never been mentioned. Seems like the logical conclusion that he did though as the article mentions that Real Madrid where going to buy Hagi off Rangers once the deal went through with Gent. Seems it would be cheaper for them to tell Hagi not to sign for Rangers if they wanted him.

Think he would be free to weigh up his options - he’s tied to Ghent for the moment. Rangers have him in loan with a fee agreed should they wish to buy him at the end of the loan period. All parties have to be in agreement though before rangers could buy him.

As for Real Madrid being interested

absolutely no chance

20 million and 50% sell on please

From memory, I think it was reported that a fee had been agreed with Gent for him, but can’t remember anything about Hagi agreeing terms.

However, considering Gent are happy to punt him after being there for only 6 months, and that he’s not even a guaranteed starter for rangers, it’s hugely unlikely Real Madrid have any interest in him. Think his agent is trying to rent his corn.

Paper said 8m but then again they don't have a lot to write about at the moment. It was the amount that got me wondering though. Why would they wait for Rangers to buy him instead of telling his agent say no to Rangers and we will buy him?

No surprise. The lad is clearly a talent.

Thought Traynor had left?

because in loan deals with an agreed fee personal terms are often agreed upfront too

And they’re also often not...

But it doesn’t get away from the fact that it’s highly unlikely that Real Madrid would want him. Ffs-some of your own fans don’t even want him.

absolutely, i have no idea if they have or not. if they had though it would be a simple matter of madrid meeting the asking price.

I would happily take him at the price.

I hope you get him.

Like I said, I think if a fee and personal terms had been agreed, then it would have been reported as that at the time. I this there was reporting about the fee, but nothing other than that. It might well have been - I can't remember and can't be bothered checking.

I doubt the Real Madrid link as well but I was questioning if another team wanted him how much say does Hagi have? If he has signed a contract then none,if he hasn't he can say no to Rangers?

As long as his club agree the fee which has now been set I suppose then it'll be entirely up to him and his agent.

Good feet, good skill, can play a killer pass, but he's slow as a week in the jail and that is that.

Paper talk, rubbish paper talk.

I like Hagi , skillful player and good to watch

However an asthmatic Rogic could do him in a sprint

£5M is a tough one to decide upon ...could be alot of money to piiisss away

That's it CT, he's good, but his lack of pace at this level is shocking.

(I know pace isn't everything, but you have to have some at this level)

No way, but I'd say he was a level way beyonb Hagi (admittedly not seen a lot of him) in terms of skill and the game was a lot slower paced back then.
