I think we take the security of our PM quite seriously.
----------------------------
Probably not as much as we should IMO,
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The guy that was openly shaking hands with everyone. Not that seriously eh?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah, I'd have assumed protection officers or some responsible persons might have prevented him from doing so.

ffs like they're going to allow someone in with a camera even on a phone and allow them to take photographs for the internet or newspapers for a "thumbs up for Boris"
Doubt anyone will be allowed in unless they are part fo the health team working there.
I think we take the security of our PM quite seriously. Even the Times had a photo of an ICU from a completely different hospital
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Who said it would be the newspapers in there? I just think that if he was OK he'd want to put a photo out there and would have had one released.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What?
I didn't say it would have to be someone from the newspapers.

I suspect they don’t want to create too much fear regarding the severity of it. Though that’s probably what they should be doing. Fear is most likely to push people towards acting more responsibly regarding the social distancing rules.

What sort of PM have we got, forgot to take a phone with him when going into an ICU whilst seriously ill.
He should be taking selfies by the hour to prove to everyone that he's ok and be constantly on all forms of social media posting by the minute.
Only then will the public believe, cannot believe how inconsiderate he's been here.
Elvis I have a friend who works as a doctor in the same hospital and he says the same thing.

Or maybe one would be made available if needed urgently?
From what I recall you cannot take a mobile into an ICU because of cleanliness and also fear it may interfere with critical equipment

ffs like they're going to allow someone in with a camera even on a phone and allow them to take photographs for the internet or newspapers for a "thumbs up for Boris"
I said "someone" as in "anyone"
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So why does anyone else need to be in there? Or do you think that the PM doesn't have his own mobile in there?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So you're suggesting he's going to take a selfie and send it out now so everyone can see him with his thumbs up?
He's in ICU for a reason ffs; not to have a bit of a jape.
Have you ever been in one? I have
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes, I think if he was doing reasonably well, there is a good chance he'd have released a photo showing so.
I know he isn't in there for a jape. But he is the leader of this country at a time of need. In such instances a leader usually wants to demonstrate strength.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I he was that well mate he'd be out of ICU I can assure you

Remember a princess visiting a NATO secure site I was on, and the thing she was going to see, was visited the day before by security staff and then taped off until her visit.
No messing about
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Nah
Boris is going to have someone come in and take a quick snap of himself or maybe even do it himself.
People in an ICU bed are seriously ill. When they show recovery they are moved.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I believe it is frowned upon to take selfies from ICU beds. Women done it recently after a car crash. She assumed her buddy in next bed was sleeping. She was not.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
that must have been awkward

I have a mate who’s wife is a nurse at St Thomas’s, she had to go and take blood from BJ and when he rolled up his sleeve he had 5G on his forearm in a kind of stigmata fashion, we’re not being told the truth here

Well Downing Street has said that he is not working but able to contact those that he needs to. So he obviously has a phone and they are saying he is capable of communicating.

Laptop ? I am guessing he is getting the extra care because he is the PM.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Hopefully that's the case. I'd be very surprised if he hasn't got a phone. Amazed actually

I can understand why people might assume Britain Trump would be behaving that way.

Or maybe one would be made available if needed urgently?
From what I recall you cannot take a mobile into an ICU because of cleanliness and also fear it may interfere with critical equipment
