This season will eventually be restarted I'm sure.
However, if the break is for quite some time still, what happens if an unfortunate club (or clubs) go bust? There's already some clubs that have had to furlough staff, indicating their finances might not be all that strong. And that's after about 4-5 weeks. Could get really serious if it goes on for months.

I don't know what the PL has to do to stop people flirting with the season cancelled idea. Firstly they extended the season indefinitely. Then they stated they are committed to the season ending. After this they came out and said all contracts can be extended until the season finishes, rather than end of June and finally they applied to UEFA, which was accepted, to allow them to be able to show 3PM Saturday games

The season became compromised the moment it was suspended, for a whole plethora of reasons. The season is no longer right and proper, there are countless variables at work.
Some teams are unfairly advantaged, others are unfairly disadvantaged, some have lost momentum, others have gained a much needed break to regroup. Changing transfer windows and contract situations mid season is unfair and either hinders or helps clubs not in accordance with the rules set out before a ball is kicked, etc etc etc etc, I could be here all night.
They could complete the season but it can`t possibly ever be considered 100% fair and legitimate, that possibility was lost weeks ago.

You really think all the discussion is about a club so far ahead of the rest that they could quite easily hand them the title and no genuine fan on the planet would care less
It is about the likes of Leeds Utd, WBA and those outsiders like Leicester and Wolves that are battling for CL spots that pose a far bigger problem.
These clubs have spent a lot of money to achieve their goal and now in some of their cases they are virtually there and will be told 'nah, gonna end it now for no real reason'.

Yes, they don't quite get it. Hand Liverpool the title as it stands, then you hand all other leagues titles and relegations as it stands, which will result in hundreds of appeals and legal cases.
Never in a million years will they hand any team a title, if they can be mathematically caught.

May as well just cancel football completely until Liverpool can play in 2024 and claim the title, that all this is all about.

The season needs to be finished if possible to limit the loss of money, surely every single fan wants that to happen. But here we are, fans literally begging the season to be called to spite a rival club despite the fact it would cost their own club millions

Billy, eventually this season will be cancelled. They keep pushing the can down the road, but they know in reality it will eventually be cancelled. Just a matter of when. Just need somebody who is not afraid of upsetting certain teams for the good of all other teams.

I don't know what the PL has to do to stop people flirting with the season cancelled idea. Firstly they extended the season indefinitely. Then they stated they are committed to the season ending. After this they came out and said all contracts can be extended until the season finishes, rather than end of June and finally they applied to UEFA, which was accepted, to allow them to be able to show 3PM Saturday games

The season became compromised the moment it was suspended, for a whole plethora of reasons. The season is no longer right and proper, there are countless variables at work.
Some teams are unfairly advantaged, others are unfairly disadvantaged, some have lost momentum, others have gained a much needed break to regroup. Changing transfer windows and contract situations mid season is unfair and either hinders or helps clubs not in accordance with the rules set out before a ball is kicked, etc etc etc etc, I could be here all night.
They could complete the season but it can`t possibly ever be considered 100% fair and legitimate, that possibility was lost weeks ago.

You really think all the discussion is about a club so far ahead of the rest that they could quite easily hand them the title and no genuine fan on the planet would care less
It is about the likes of Leeds Utd, WBA and those outsiders like Leicester and Wolves that are battling for CL spots that pose a far bigger problem.
These clubs have spent a lot of money to achieve their goal and now in some of their cases they are virtually there and will be told 'nah, gonna end it now for no real reason'.

Whenever these articles go up Liverpool (who we know would have won the league) fans think its a dig at them.
The truth is if you give Liverpool the Prem title you then have to give the leaders of all divisions above the 7th tier the same and thats when the problems set in.
Games in hand, easier run ins and home advantage (in more games than not) will cause outrage and court cases all round.

Yes, they don't quite get it. Hand Liverpool the title as it stands, then you hand all other leagues titles and relegations as it stands, which will result in hundreds of appeals and legal cases.
Never in a million years will they hand any team a title, if they can be mathematically caught.
