Ian Rush, Robbie Fowler, Torres, Kenny, little Mikey, StevieG, Crazy Horse, Tommy Smith

And as for our current front three ....

Wow!

I was a little too young to appreciate Fowler, Owen looked special, Suarez was frustrating as hell, Gerrard was superb but for me it’s Torres.

For us, he was one of if not the greatest striker in the world.

As Wolf said, he was hospitalised for an unrelated ilneds, tested positive, but totally asymptomatic

John Barnes was one of the best to wear the Liverpool shirt in my lifetime. Peter Beardsley could be special on his day.

And, tbf, Steve McManaman had days of top quality.

Yes John Barnes was another great. I still give it to Kenny though

Erm
- wrong thread maybe? 🧐

John Barnes easily. He had everything and produced when it matters. The most exciting player I have seen in a red shirt.

Only criticism was that cross in the 92nd minute against Arsenal when he should have ran into the corner flag.

The thing is Kash, I think anything Barnes could do Kenny could do, in a more crowded are and score more goals

Not even close - John Barnes

Without a doubt, Kenny.

What a player.

I think Kenny comfortably too great teams.
He not only scored more goals but more goals per game. Plus I don't think they did assists then, but heaven knows he gave to Rush.

He was one of the few players I was frightened of in those dsys

Dalglish was sublime but Barnes was just disgustingly good

Too young but to know any before the noughties so Suarez for me.

Ask anybody over 90 years old and invariably the answer will be Billy Liddell.

Wish there was just more footage of some of our earlier players.

KK was the complete player to me, he had tricks flicks, deadly finishing, assists and fire in his belly, such a desire to win!!!! What a way to replace Kevin Keegan.

The best I have seen since was Luis Suarez who was the closest I’ve seen to KK except he was flawed in disciplinary matters.

Just a notch down would be John Barnes who could have been even more influential if he had not suffered so much injury late in his Anfield career. Ditto for Torres, El Niño was outright the most exciting player I have seen when he was at his best. A bloody beast in fact.

Who do Liverpool fans consider to be better out of Suarez and Torres. The latter was one of my favourite players. Was legit jealous of you guys. But the latter seems a better player imo.

Suarez, what a player

King Kenny.

He loaded so many bullets for others to fire. Sublime skill, unparalleled vision and he was also as strong as an Ox, combined with a burning ambition to win. He was a footballing genius.

why in earth would liverpool fans want to engage in a who was better as a player debate when sir kenny is ill?????

come on guys.

Suarez better technically and hitting the net. Torres not fit to lace the boots of Suarez.
