Coldplay get a lot of stick, some of it unfair. I'm not comparing them to Oasis per se, but X and Y was their Be Here Now - a third album where they just went for the easy anthems. Their first two, Parachutes and A Rush of Blood to the Head, were really good albums, even if they've been too commercial and sentimental thereafter.
Can’t stand Coldplay in general (liked parachutes....still love Shiver) but they know how to put on a show
Oasis at Wembley (familiar to millions live album) was the worst gig I’ve ever seen
Was toxic by then though the band as well as the crowd of absolutewankers in attendance

Only seen them once on the same tour. We were at the front and I spent most of the gig picking people up. The crowd was insane

Seen them once. Someone threw a jumper in the crowd which was wet and wrapped itself around my mates head. Turned out it was wet because it was covered in sick. Definitely one of his lower points!

A few lads were by us were making a spliff. A group of lads in front of them swilled them with beer and wrecking their spliff so one of the lads picked a plastic pint cup off the floor, pee’d in it and poured it over the main lad

I agree with this. They were good in their early days. They've struggled to maintain quality since their second album but still came up with some good tunes along the way.

With regards to all that Blur v Oasis stuff
Blur’s music stands up a lot better today than Oasis’s
Apart from Song 2, hate that as much as Wonderwall
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Agree Blur were better, but bothe excellent.
Can't stand Song 2 or Parklife though. Both stupid songs
Favourite Blur songs for me are :
1. Beetlebum
2. Tender
3. The Universal
4. End of a century
5. Girls & Boys
----------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Country house and charmless man
----------------------------------------------------------------------
‘To The End’ has to be on any top five Blur songs list.

Check out Barrowlands in Scotland. Absolutely outstanding live show.
Agreed, Edbo. The version they did with Francoise Hardy
Slide Away
Don't Look Back in Anger

Where Did It All Go Wrong?
Rockin' Chair
Probably against the grain, but blue got better the longer the went on, opposite of oasis. Parklife I’ve always thought was quite a boring album. They definitely grew as a band.

Radiohead were of course the best band to come out of the 90's!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Should have said the Wembley one I saw live (never seen Coldplay live but have seen what they can do with a crowd )
Barrowlands ? If that’s the reunion one I’ve seen that
Wembley I was there and it was disappointing as it was the only time I watched them live
Just remembered Take Me Away as another b side I used to love
Bought the tab book for the B sides back in the day to learn as i preferred them to a fair few singles
Bring it on down best tune by Oasis. Good first and second albums after that they and thier music are boring, and Liam has nothing to offer 20 years later, a bit like Weller boring as feck.

Some of Liam's new stuff is quite good.
Saw him live in Belfast last year, maybe two years ago and Richard Ashcroft was backing him up. Ashcroft stole the show. Was outstanding.
