Liking to put a positive spin on things should the season be cancelled. This Liverpool side will go down in history as the greatest team to not win the title. Which in my opinion is better that title winners with a caveat.

Being a bit of a wum and not wanting to kick someone when they are down, I wouldn't let a Liverpool fan ever forget the title is tainted if they were given it, or they won after the restarted the season. However, I wouldnt wum them if they didn't get the title this year. TBH, it is pretty galling, and a wum to far.

In all honesty, Liverpool will probably win it next year anyway to get the monkey off their back.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I can see what you mean if we were given it without winning it (although everyone knows it was going to happen anyway), but if the season resumes and we won it then it would be strange if people had a pop at us.

Naby8 aside, multiple Liverpool fans spouting the same crap as usual.

Desperate losers. We get it, you're scared Hendo won't get to lift the trophy. Try and look a little more insecure and desperate. Please.

I was very keen to get the season finished when the lockdown began. Like many others, it seemed to me to be the only way to draw actual sporting conclusions. I spoke to a Brentford supporting friend of mine at the time and he was desperate to get the season on again because they have a shot at promotion and, he reasoned, how often does a club like Brentford have a shot at the EPL.

Spoke to him last week and his attitude mirrors my own - I’m less and less bothered about the season finishing with every passing day. It’s not just the stories you read in the news and the statistics but it’s the realisation that even when lockdown finishes, we won’t go back to the normal we knew before. Not for a long time. We’ll be adjusting to a new normal. It’s really difficult to care too much about football in those circumstances.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
But you will care in in future, at which time you might find you have no club to support because "it was difficult to care about football I those circumstances".

I don't understand this approach personally. Football is as important as anything else you worry about. Apart from the clubs, players, fans and staff, football in this country supports a multi billion pound industry of businesses and services that rely on the football itself.

Were talking about probably hundreds of thousands of jobs here. If it is possible to return to action then they should do it.

Not because of Brentford and Liverpool fans. Don't listen to the idiots on here. Football supports many many families in this country and the world. You are deceiving yourself and allowing guilt to seep in because your club is on the cusp.

Football is an important sector supporting thousands and thousands of jobs and people should want it back at work like any other sector.

You feel bad to be waiting on a title when people are dying but if you want football back just because of your clubs interest then you were doomed from the beginning.

It would be nice if Liverpool wrapped up the league but truth is there is a risk to all football as we know it and that's the main reason the powers that be insist on finishing the season is to save football as we know it, not to just satisfy some teams.

If you look at the facts there is no need to feel the way you do. Saving football is saving lives, jobs and livelihoods across the country. People say football is a business, well all businesses are trying to survive and so is football.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

There’s a huge difference between being ever more indifferent to the season finishing and titles, promotions, relegations etc being decided and the club no longer existing!

Of course I care about the future of the game. I want football to be enjoyed by my son, his kids, their kids and for generations to come. I care about the struggles that the smaller teams are having to survive without the income of gate receipts. If anything these bigger issues only go to show that this season in isolation it’s massively important.

There is only one looser really and that is City who are the only team who have already actually won something or been promoted this season. Nothing else whatsoever has been concluded, good or bad, so it makes sense to void the season now.

There will be other club(s) might think they are victims, if the season was voided.

But, let's face it, they always do.

What an utterly moronic post.

If they don’t finish the season, even the coldest hearts would have to feel for Liverpool. Wait 30 years for a title. Absolutely blitz it, romping ahead with a huge point tally.

Only for the season to be cancelled within touching distance if the trophy. Unbelievably harsh..

Although I want the season concluded, all the passion for me personally has gone for now.

I'm sure that will change as soon as games kick off again however for now I'm not too fussed.

Yeah I just want life to start getting back to normal really. I'm missing my social life more than anything personally. The title will happen at some point whether the season resumes or not so I'm not too concerned about that, although seeing football resume would obviously be a good step towards some kind of normality resuming.

Not finishing this season puts several clubs in serious jeopardy, basically if they don't get the exoe red TV revenue that was due they could fold.

What's more important? Still having 20 clubs to play in the PL whenever next season starts? Or allowing clubs to fold by not finishing this season. Clubs simply don't have the required cash flow to void this season, retain all their staff and just start a new one, people seem to ignore this.
