We’re being treated like children and this can’t continue. In the papers today some boffin is stating the next wave will be even worse and citing the Spanish Flu as an example.

It was in 1918 ffs. People had little idea of cleanliness and far less about social distancing. We were at war and millions of troops crossed borders time and time again.
We aren’t allowed to know where this scientific advice is coming from and won’t know until after the event; so how can they be challenged or even asked to back up these claims so we can properly understand or say to hang on a minute; that’s flawed.
Contradiction reigns at every turn and if Sturgeon has her way of it we will be in this state until we have a vaccine which yet another boffin states we most likely will never get.
This is ludicrous and the governments are ignoring common sense and harsh economics as well as the humanitarian damage being suffered.
Johnson is now reputed to be wanting the lockdown to go war beyond what anyone else is doing in terms of timespan because of his own experience.
And when you argue health and death rates you can never be accused of having been too careful. But the public need answers; they need a timetable and they need to have some hope. Keep denying that and things will get ugly.

I'd ask that posters refrain from personal attacks on me over the next few months.
