Diogo Jota just beat TAA in the final of the fifa game sky have been running so Wolves now champions and i truly believe UEFA will take those standings.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I sort of watched it. Jota deserved it tbf but both deserved to be in the final, though Sterling was unlucky in the semi final.

Jota stood out as the best player in every game I saw.

They wouldn't, it has always just been the excuse used to stay in the 60s.

US televises all sports events live and the stadiums are fecking jammed full, Alabama, Ohio State, Michigan you name it, prime time tv spots and still 110,000 inside the stadium.

not played for 10+ years but back then my nephew would get in a big strop on the rare occasion i would beat him.

Clever little idea they did with this, surprised it didn't get a mention on here.

That's not 100% true, though. You can't watch the NFL on TV in a home city unless it's sold out 3 days before the game.

So you honestly think that having very single PL game on the TV during the time lower league games kick off won't have any form of detrimental impact?

I do not agree with your opinion one bit

Which encourages attendance and benefits the clubs. It’s a policy that we’d do well to follow over here. Also ensures ticket pricing favours fans, not clubs. They just do it better in the NFL than the PL.

Yes it is a good idea, but they only care about one tier of sport. It doesn't make sense trying to apply it to the English system of lower league football.

MEH.

The reality is it will be what it is and will give some people something to do.

what i find very very funny is how the rest of us can get social distancing and maybe a glove or two if luck but the pampered sports starts demand tests etc before considering doing anything.

I've worked all through and have to wear a mask, subject myself to temperature screening and wear gloves too.

If football seriously thinks it can kick a ball about a park after 6 weeks quarantine proves none of them have it they are deluded.

Just take adequate precautions and get on with it if you have the money to make in doing so.

It wont do anything for the lower leagues so I hope some mechanism is inbuilt to siphon off fund to keep clubs alive until next year.

What i find funny is how some players are ready to go now and some like Declan rice absolutely insist the need a full preseason.

It does cross my mind that their clubs position has a big bearing on this.

I'm starting to think that football won't go ahead until 21/22 season.

You essentially need to provide your workers with a safe working environment. When we all go back to our jobs we will be expected to socially distance and there will be measures in factories, construction sites and offices alike to make this happen.

On a football pitch you cannot do that. 1 case could easily turn into 22+ cased within 90 mins. This illness could cause death or long term / permanent damage that could be career ending for a player. Who picks up the tab there?

If you remember the legal battle and ramifications coming from Sala dying on his way to Cardiff, can you imagine the S show this would cause!?

I don't see any reason for players to pick up the virus if quarantined together.

Start from first days training.
How many people will a Player come into contact with...
Think about where they will live. A hotel? How many there?
Travel? Planes, Trains & Automobiles, how many there?
Overnight stays for longer distance away games? Another hotel?
Then..

The German plan suggests a minimum of 240 people required to play behind closed doors.

Then there are fans gathering outside stadiums, in homes to share streaming costs...

It is a total non-starter

I guarantee you games will start behind closed doors whilst the virus is still going so it certainly isn't a non starter.

You can't guarantee that.

I agree it will be tried, but it will fall apart in no time, and the Associations/Federations know this, they are just trying to preserve TV money.

I have no idea. It's a bonkers country neither you or I gave a second though to until Covid-19.

I doubt outliers will guide the science here.
