He will fight with 3 players for the front 3 spot. There is even talk of Bobby dropping deeper so we can play all 4.
If AFCON goes as planned he will get plenty of games.
Remember we have the ACON next year that will take Mane, Keita, and Salah away for 6-8 weeks potentially.
He can play across the front 3, so that means we can rotate throughout the season.
Also means we can push Bobby back a little deeper and then play werner, salah, and Mane as a front 3.
Plenty of options there
Nobody needs to leave for him to come in, we need more quality options to rotate plus as others have said he will get a guaranteed run if AFCON takes place.
for me:
a) werner is not a done deal.
b) theres no bench warming stuff here. We have several players and 4 compettions. Shaqiri is a bench warmer cos he is never fit and only plays one position.
Jones, elliott, minamino are all in a queue along with origi. With respect to them currently werner is a step up. the first 3 would be players who can step up though.
We need 4 or 5 players for the 3 places up top to actually compete.
We have 6 midfielders in milner, henderson, fabinho, wijnaldum, keita and ox and all get a game. some are injured some are not.
why would the forwards be any different?
After that on deeney. If he has his personal issue he should take care of it. It is also agitating further than him just not taking care of what he should be taking care of so its not just him doing the right thing. he is going further than that and tipping into self interest for his club too.
Firmino's days are done and dusted. May get a run in the league cup.

I hope Liverpool as a club have utilised the time wisely and made sure players that needed a rest have had one as well as making sure that the lads have kept in reasonable shape

I hope Liverpool as a club have utilised the time wisely and made sure players that needed a rest have had one as well as making sure that the lads have kept in reasonable shape

I'm sure we will be as ready as can be to return, I've got every faith in us in terms of squad management, fitness levels etc.
We've played with basically the same starting 11 for nearly three years now and will lose Salah and Mane for two months after signing no one last summer.
If the money is there we absolutely need to sign 3 players in my opinion and Werner would be an excellent start. Anything else will be a joke.

As for 3 players?
Where?
We've a fully squad bar left full so players need to go.
Werner coming in to my mind would create a 5 man forward line with minamino and the first choice 3 then theres the kiddies. already that puts players like shaqiri on the chopping block. Origi as well potentially.
We just need to be careful with the squad numbers as the competition needs to be strong but we can't have people giving up and becoming layabouts. Klopp won't stand for it.

what if notbody can afford them any more?
Shaqirir won't find a new club easily imo. our model was to buy them cheap and not lose. so we had 12mil in him and a handy 12mil to get back this summer but we're not getting that now.
I'd be frankly shocked if we spend 50mil on a player now when we were furloughing non playing star 8 weeks ago. we all need to see that the club is about to lose 100mil or something this season

Of this happens its been rumoured the club will seek to extend contracts of players like Lallana.
I'd be frankly shocked if we spend 50mil on a player now when we were furloughing non playing star 8 weeks ago. we all need to see that the club is about to lose 100mil or something this season
