OK to clarify its not THAT important to me that I make sure I double check a post before I comment. I often don’t pay any attention to posters names and tend to focus on their posts instead.
But I will say that POV is someone I generally avoid engaging with directly if I do notice he is involved.
I think he will confirm I now ding a much better job of avoiding getting involved in the petty cyclical arguments he seems to love. I have seen a few on here this season that I was very grateful I wasn't a part of.
For me they used to seem to go along similar lines;
‘Hamish - you said this and I think you are silly. And look heres a post from three months ago where you also said something I think is silly’
‘Well - that’s not actually what I said - let me put it another way - what I actually meant was....’
‘That’s not what you meant. I know what you meant better than you do.’’
‘Eh?’
‘You meant something else. And that thing was definitely silly'.
‘Eh? I didn't say that and it absolutely wasn't what I meant’
'Hamish is pure back tracking.'
'Hamish pure moved the goalposts.'
'Hamish is a big fat backtracking goalpost shifter. Nanananana’
'Eh? You guys are weird'
And at this point the gang usually pile on.
‘Yeah Hamish ya goalpost moving daftie’
'We all know what you meant Hamish and it was silly'
‘Bhoys - look Hamish looks pure silly now’
Etc etc
Its fine and POV seems to really enjoy it. But I have got significantly better at staying out of things like this since the start of the season.
But today I slipped up and got caught in the old trap again. Nobody’s perfect I suppose.
Except POV of course
Check Hamish pure back-tracking there. His goalposts are pure silly.
That’s a meltdown and a half mate.

OK to clarify its not THAT important to me that I make sure I double check a post before I comment. I often don’t pay any attention to posters names and tend to focus on their posts instead.
But I will say that POV is someone I generally avoid engaging with directly if I do notice he is involved.
I think he will confirm I now ding a much better job of avoiding getting involved in the petty cyclical arguments he seems to love. I have seen a few on here this season that I was very grateful I wasn't a part of.
For me they used to seem to go along similar lines;
‘Hamish - you said this and I think you are silly. And look heres a post from three months ago where you also said something I think is silly’
‘Well - that’s not actually what I said - let me put it another way - what I actually meant was....’
‘That’s not what you meant. I know what you meant better than you do.’’
‘Eh?’
‘You meant something else. And that thing was definitely silly'.
‘Eh? I didn't say that and it absolutely wasn't what I meant’
'Hamish is pure back tracking.'
'Hamish pure moved the goalposts.'
'Hamish is a big fat backtracking goalpost shifter. Nanananana’
'Eh? You guys are weird'
And at this point the gang usually pile on.
‘Yeah Hamish ya goalpost moving daftie’
'We all know what you meant Hamish and it was silly'
‘Bhoys - look Hamish looks pure silly now’
Etc etc
Its fine and POV seems to really enjoy it. But I have got significantly better at staying out of things like this since the start of the season.
But today I slipped up and got caught in the old trap again. Nobody’s perfect I suppose.
