I see a lot of criticism of Con Air, but I’ve got give a shout out to John Malkovich - great actor.
Haven’t seen anyone mention Kevin Spacey, Robert Duvall or Morgan Freeman. Just want to put some respect on their names.
Tough choice from the list in the OP, but the absence of Joe Pesci is a scandal.
There have been quite a few posts on Spacey and Morgan.
Pesci is a great shout. Goodfellas is obvious the film that comes to mind when I think of Pesci.

There have been quite a few posts on Spacey and Morgan.
Pesci is a great shout. Goodfellas is obvious the film that comes to mind when I think of Pesci.

He and Tomei got some great reviews for their roles but it's not one a great or even funny film imo.
I preferred him in the Lethal Weapon films.

Man On Fire
A really really great Denzel performance is a recent-ish film he did (and directed) called Fences. Peak Denzel imo
James McAvoy in split is an outstanding performance.
Fallen is a nice little known Washington film. I think it's my favourite of his that I've seen, after Training Day.

Yes that's the one.
I haven't seen too many Washington films though to be honest. I wouldn't say he has many classics in his repertoire.
I dont think Morgan Freman is a particularly great actor at all. He's just Morgan Freeman in lots of different films.

Good film, Bone Collector is another good one with dark undertones.
The one when he's on a runaway train is good though not necessarily one of his better performances. Same with The Equaliser.
