Nothing to do with conspiracy.
There's evidence which shows that a gang of journalists actually target City.
If anything, the majority of City fans have not taken these sustained attacks seriously partly because they don't want to feed this conspiracy theory.
If they do the same with Liverpool, my guess is you will also find it unacceptable.

When City were 19 points ahead of the second place team, Jamie Carragher never stopped moaning on Sky about how much damage such gaps is doing to the PL brand.
Somehow, Liverpool being 25 points ahead of the second place team has enhanced the competitive nature of the PL. Not heard a single moan about this gap to date.
