I was young but I, for one, considered it normal. Why wouldn't I - we made the final again a few years later and Gers won the ECWC?
In later years Villa & Forest won big ears and Ipswich won the UEFA. It's just the way it was at the time - expected. Before money took over.

It really is all to fck. We are headed this week for OK you can meet a person outside your household outdoors maintaining social distancing. Some nations have gone for groups of 6 allowed with SD. What is the difference if you meet the 6 for half an hour versus meeting 10, individually, for an hour apiece?
So folk make their own decisions. So long as it's semi-justifiable then WTF? Seems like plod is spending his time in Easterhouse, West Dunbartonshire & Inverclyde nicking those too stupid to it on the quiet?

<Quinny. probably a stupid question but with the lions do you think was it appreciated at the time what they achieved?>
Sorry mate hadn't scrolled down to read that.
As far as I'm concerned - we kinda knew we were making history.
But maybe need to ask someone older as I was only 14?
I was in N England Hexham the day we won it playing for school team.
All the locals were going crazy when we watched it in town hall.
Got back to Glasgow around 10pm George Sq mental.
Rangers were in the other final following week.
Dundee, Hibs etc had thrashed top euro teams recently.
So maybe we were a bit blase.

I don't really know mate. I don't think the experts know either tbh. I think we all individually have to show a bit of cop on. My 81 year old mum who has every health condition imaginable is less than 2km from me, I visit her every morning but don't go into the house we chat through her window. My sis who lives around the corner from Mam goes to the shops everyday, meets up with her pals for walks etc..and her partner is in the air corps and is working daily mixing with god knows how many folks yet she goes into mams house everyday and spends hours there.. I got frustrated and annoyed over this but there is nothing I can do other than try to do better myself.
