Maybe that's what the government wanted anyway, people to scared to go out or back to work but now they're outraged and furious everyone is purposely making a point of going out because of the cummings situation. Saw so many parties and gatherings on facebook last night, the lockdown is done. British people hate a hypocrite

The media have done my head in with this Cummings witch hunt. So much more going on that is more important that doesn't even make the news or is being brushed under the carpet.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

It was always going to happen at some point. Cummings has just made enemies of too many people; the press can’t stand him because he’s arrogant and dismissive of them and the MPs he doesn’t favour can’t stand him because he’s the unelected power base.

He has too much power and too little accountability, he was always a target. Not sure they’ve picked the right issue to try and sink him but we’ll see I guess.

Dominic Cummings deserves everything he’s getting right now. Even the daily mail has turned, and that’s saying something. Long may the witch hunt continue.

Cummings deserves to be shot truth be told, couldn't blame anyone for killing him after what he's done and he's effectively spat on every single one of us

I don't regret voting Tory because Anyone But Corbyn, but Boris did lose all credibility with me yesterday, disappointed in my man Rishi as well had high hopes for him.

This SAGE guy is bang on

As one of those involved in SPI-B, the Government advisory group on behavioural science, I can say that in a few short minutes tonight, Boris Johnson has trashed all the advice we have given on how to build trust and secure adherence to the measures necessary to control COVID-19.

"We're all in this together" and we clap every thursday, yet his main adviser has literally spat on the NHS and everyone by going out and spreading the virus and breaking lockdown on 3 occasions at least that we know of.

No real argument or discussion to be had, guy's a khunt and has betrayed all of us and traitors deserve to be gutted

Abbott would have been fine - she can’t count past 7 - that’s surely still within the travelling radius of safe distancing

And as for Corbyn, he would have justified travelling anywhere and everywhere doing just as he pleased so long as it was to help and support any terrorist organisation who were planning attacks on the UK

Him and his cronies should have been charged with treason

I didn't realise Cummings' wife is a commissioning editor at the Spectator.Yet even they are calling for him to be sacked.

Damning.

Whilst I do wonder whether this story is acting as a smokescreen to distract media attention away from more important stories - there are allegations the Government are currently secretly selling parts of our agriculture industry off to the US, for example - those saying that this is a 'non-story' clearly haven't been following the guidelines during lockdown themselves. Either that, or they've been fortunate enough not to have had the need to break them.

This just highlights what we've all known for a long while now. The Tories promote and protect a two-tier society. One rule for them, another rule for the plebs.

And only those happy to be considered a second-tier pleb should dismiss this without question.

What blows my mind is how the hardcore lefties that voted corbyn are now backing starmer, when their ideas are world's apart.
It's like going from voting labour to conservative in lots of ways. Blows my mind how blinded most are by bias.

This whole press chasing his resignation saga is pretty cringe tbh. Politics is like a football derby with 6 red cards that goes on forever. Just blind hatred.
I think the last 10-20 years has destroyed most people's enthusiasm for politics and the waters have never been muddied.

Wtf has this got to do with this situation?

Oh and 'pretty cringe' is something only teenage girls should use in conversation tbh.

Bit odd to see so many Brexiteers now championing an unelected bureaucrat...

It's not a secret (agri-foods etc). The government have legislated for it:

https://services.parliament.uk/bills/2019-21/agriculture.html

And have been discussing it with USTR since 2017

Whether he was right or wrong, he was only doing what he thought was best and was certainly not deserving of the witch hunt from leftie rags like the Mirror.

News conference today was a waste of time too, surely it would have been more beneficial asking questions about a possible vaccine or an update on the antibody test, instead the media all bang on about Cummings, just shameful point scoring.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Would have been more appropriate to ask about Friday’s SciTech Committee Meeting evidence that explained the govt was told on 12 March by the Director of PHE and data modellers that “hundreds of thousands“ had already been exposed and that it was looking at a million cases in the UK.

That’s eleven days before lockdown.

In your opinion, how many SAGE meetings do you think Stephen Kinnock will have attended?

Have a guess if you're unsure...

Are you drunk, stupid, or perhaps both?
