I genuinely don't think they've had much of clue throughout this tbh.

It's all done with hindsight and in some instances we are going backwards with quite ridiculous quarantine rules that are inoperable due to the "Dublin back door".

We will soon be at a place with no deaths and barely any new infections which is fantastic but at a cost of millions of jobs and thousands of businesses.

Our aim was to protect the expected over run on the NHS and making it unable to function and then to manage the virus. We have gone way beyond that now to the point where people are dying and will continue to die in their many thousands because they can't get other care or treatments.

The NHS is about to go into a place of quite extraordinary waiting lists as we near winter when it will be as usual overrun in any event.

Right now we are bumbling along and making it up as we go along.

This is quite possibly the most pathetic attempt at an excuse for flouting the rules (that he made) that I’ve ever seen.

We know what is happening with regards to the economy and everything else but to come out with this p!sh really is a joke.

Hopefully he’ll get charged by the police then he’ll absolutely have to go.

Good man.

If anything my personal belief is that as we get closer to the date and with the difficulties being faced by the EU; I think they will do everything possible to have a deal with us. It won't be everything we want of course but it will cease their courts ruling over us and most if not all goods being tariff free.

We'll probably give ground on fishing and maybe even a financial commitment. Who knows mate?

I did read that the 500bn euro aid package for the hardest hit EU countries of Italy and Spain had been finally agreed by Merkel to then be scuppered by Holland, Austria and 2 others. So they won't be getting it.

Germany have also paid out over 7bn euros to help Lufthansa and will have to do the same for their other airlines or they break the state aid agreements too.

None of these countries are together in this Brexit and they will want to continue trade with us.

my tuppence worth fwiw.

And yes someone can come along and cite their rules but to me we are way beyond that now.

I'm responding to your statement about them not having a clue without Cummings for goodness sake. I'm saying they don't appear to have much of a clue with him.

Indeed

Remember those individuals like Barnier and Macron trying (and succeeding) in setting the agenda and the pace while they all sniggered and mocked us? Remember them getting angry when we set out the very generous furlough scheme (now being used by all of them)? Remember them telling us we would obey their laws, their timetable and that we would be begging for an extension to talks? Remember them saying how they were all united as one?

Strange times.
